Grain Wood Furniture Shaker Solid Wood Panel Platform Bed, Queen Size, Expresso

This is a solid and beautiful piece of furniture. It’s well made and fairly easy to put together. It took us just under two hours using the included tool and a single screwdriver. However, the strong smell from the bare slats is a little overwhelming in a small room. It’s not entirely unpleasant, it’s just strong. I am very happy with my purchase, but am thankful the weather is still decent enough to leave the windows open to allow for ventilation. I’ve had it together for three days now, and the odor seems to be lessening, but I can tell it may take another week or two before it’s less noticeable. I would suggest this bed frame to anyone looking to purchase a solid wood bed for a reasonable price, but keep in mind the fact that it is pine and has that strong pine smell that will remain with it for a while after you take it out of the box. If possible, leave the pieces in a garage or other dry clean place for some time before you bring it in and assemble it.

Very impressed with the workmanship and quality of this furniture. The packaging keep every piece secure during shipping. The instruction graphics were spot on and easy to understand. Assembly takes time, but the results are well worth the super solid end result. All of the fasteners are great quality, with alignment dowels, pocket screws and half-moon nuts (no cheesy cam fittings). The end result far exceeds multiples of the price point.
