Love this sandal-- very supportive & fits a narrow foot

This is the 2nd pair of ECCO Yucatan sandals that I've owned. I wore the first pair out, but I had them for many years and wore them everywhere that I didn't need to wear a dress sandal. These ALWAYS go on vacation with me as long as its warm enough. I can walk all day in them and I have had foot surgery and still have a 5th metatarsal fracture that will be achy if I don't have the right support for my foot. The foot bed is firm, but cushiony, too. The straps are well padded and comfortable. I'm thinking of buying another pair because I'm afraid that ECCO will modify this design from the perfection that it is right now.

I almost always wear a size 9.5 B shoe size but in this shoe I had to go up one full size from a 40 to a 41 in European sizing to get the length I needed. I have a high instep and narrow heels so I like having 3 adjustable straps - if the sandal did not have the adjustable straps the shoe would be too wide. The width of the size 40 was just a little tight across the front and was too short in length. The size 41 is a little wide, so if Ecco offered a size 40.5 the sizing would have been perfect. Since Ecco does not offer half sizes I deducted one star from my rating. This is my second pair of Ecco brand shoes and in both cases I had to go up one size. I also found that I can only wear Ecco shoes if they have adjustable straps - every other Ecco style I have tried would not work on my foot - they were either too short or way too big, so I need the straps to compensate. Initially I did not like the stiff sole and foot bed but after manually bending the sole where the toes bend at the ball of the foot it became very comfortable so that totally changed my opinion. I can see this as being my go to shoe for everyday casual wear when the weather gets warm. Finally, my wardrobe consists of a lot of Black colored clothing so the Atmosphere/Ice/Black color combination works well for me - it's very neutral and more stylish than the more solid Black color in my opinion.

It gave me the stability to walk in different terrains with my bad knee. Very comfortable. I was able to wear for long periods of time. Great investment.

After years of wearing Teva sandals, I have replaced my go-to Teva's with Ecco Yucatan sandals. Yucatans are less bulky, fit better, feel better, better arch support, and seem to be higher quality materials than Teva. I've worn my Yucatans every day since the first day I put them on. I'm 100% satisfied and pleased with my Ecco Yucatan purchase. They are worth every penny!! I usually don't leave product reviews, but Yucatans are so outstanding they deserve 5-STAR rating.

This is my 18th pair. I usually get a 40 but this time someone sent a 41. Not much difference, fits fine. I have a rotation of 2-3 different colors. I can wear them out within a year easily. Always a light & dark color, the other colors are ones on sale or maybe I just liked the color. I don’t by any other sandal. Thanks to Ecco for fantastic shoes!!!
