I did have to machine off the loop swing swivels on the scar to put the light exactly where I wanted but I never liked the hoops
It does what it is supposed to and it does it well. I mounted one on the right side of a Gen1 Kriss Vector (sbr) with a mini scout light. It is solid even though I used purple loctite instead of blue. Something I normally do until I am dead set that the part is how I want it, then I clean it and step up to blue (but that's just me). I am also running a second one on a Scar16, right side, standard scout light. I did have to machine off the loop swing swivels on the scar to put the light exactly where I wanted but I never liked the hoops anyway. I have zero issues with any of my other setups near my front buis being an issue as another reviewer stated. It's for a scout light, put the mount on the side rail, have the light where you want it, if you want to remove a Troy front sight (details, see what I did other reviewer) you will clearly unscrew the light head, unscrew your front sight, make your changes and then reattach the the head of the light. Not difficult.

Puts the light exactly where you want it
Expensive!! Two words that go together are Surefire and expensive, and in most cases you can expect to pay a premium price for the quality and piece of mind that Surefire provides. This however is a mount for a light. It doesn’t do anything else but mount the light. I can see if it were a precision mount for an optic or laser,it doesn’t need to cost $60+ Now that that is out of the way,it does what it does well,it puts the light exactly where you want it,nice and tight to the rail on the 45. Easy access to clicky switch without changing your grip. Also think it’s a little ugly

Solid product and works well.
This is a very high quality product and interfaces with the Scout light very nicely. With the list to the left and the mount on the top Picatinny rail the light is in the perfect 10:30 position. Another reviewer mention it interfering with his Back Up Iron Sights. I checked and if you use a wide BUIS there likley will be a problem. However my thought is that BUIS are just that; backups and should be kept as light and minimal as possible and to me that is the MagPul Gen2 BUIS. This mount and a Scout light will work with the MagPul BUIS if you shave down the protruding releasing ear on the side you are going to run the light on. The BUIS still works just fine and your light is tucked in as close to the bore line as possible. You could also run this in front of the BUIS on the rail and have the BUIS just behind it. If the above doesn't appeal to you look at the KeyMod and MLok mounts that Arisaka Defense has available for the Surefire Scout light. They incorporate some lateral adjustment and work great.

The perfect way to mount your surefire tight to your rail
The perfect way to mount your surefire tight to your rail. Keeps your light low profile and nested in the 45 position. Can be mounted on either side and on the top or bottom (if you are running a laser/illuminator). Pricey but like everything Surefire it is bombproof. I wish they made an M-LOK model so I didn't have to use a pic rail section. Often used with a magpul cantelever light section to get the light as far forward as possible or shorter rails.

The only one of it's kind
This is a great mount for M600-pattern lights. It's obviously for the M600, but it works as well with Streamlight's Rail Mount 1 and Rail Mount 2. Presumably it'd work with the Arisaka M600-style light as well. The fit and finish is superb, it fits tightly to the light and mounts securely to a standard M1913 rail without any discernible movement. The package includes the necessary screws to attach the mount to the light as well as torx keys and thread locker. There are no machining marks and the black anodized finish is even. Without question it's a well-made part. Surefire is one of the leaders in weapon-mounted lights and adapters for them. As such, they often have the market cornered until their competition figures out how to clone their work and release a similar product. With Surefire, a cornered market is usually an expensive one and this mount is no different. Is this mount worth $55? No, in my opinion it is not. It's a $20 part at best, though $15 is more reasonable. But at the moment it's the only one of it's kind so it's either "buy it or don't." This mount put the light where I needed it like no other would, so I paid for it. Am I happy? Sure, but it was a bit of a pill to swallow. If this is the mount you need you can't go wrong buying it, but the price will have you checking all other options first.

Expensive Mount but Worth It!
Easy installation on my M600IB Surefire Scout light and on my rifle. High quality construction as well (At first I thought it was polymer but it's aluminum). The Surefire Rail Mount is mounted on the right side of the rail, next to my Magpul MBUS front sight, so it does make some contact to the front sight to the point where there is some resistance when deploying the front sight. This is solved by pressing down on top of the lever instead of the sides. I was considering a quick disconnect rail mount for the M600IB but I have seen and read comments where a rifle was dropped and the QD lever broke off.

Perfect add on to original scout light.
Great way to offset the original scout light pro. The Fix picatinny Mount screws off and attaches to the offset to give a 45° Placement on your four rail handguard

Worth every penny...
I'll admit that I was irritated at having to pay over $60 for a tiny piece of machined metal to mount an already expensive weapons light. Now that I've received it and installed on my AR, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. This is a no-nonsense quality part and I'm sure the quad rail it's mounted on will fail before it does. If you need a rock solid mount for your M600 Surefire Scout, this is the way to go.
