Does what it says on the tin
An excellent mouse, small and compact. If your notebook (desktop) already supports bluetooth, you don't need to use the dongle with the mouse. There is a small button underneath the mouse - press it in, and then your notebook will deteck the mouse. The documentation is sparse to put it mildly! There is practically no help is what it does - have a look at some of the reviews on the internet and you'll learn what button does what. Also, it runs great on Vista but you MUST download the latest drivers from Microsoft, rather than install the supplied ones. The small case is a cracker! If you don't need the dongle, take it out, leave it at home and the space left is a perfect fit for two replacement AAA batteries should you run out. :-)The default sensitivity is extreme - the mouse speeds around the screen, and even a slight movement of the scroll button makes pages whizz by. Fortunately the sensitivity can be controlled in the latest software in the Control Panel. The scroll button also has lateral movement - move to the left and it will go back a screen in IE, go right and the screen will scroll sideways. The presentation ability is impressive - including a lasar pointer. All in all, if you need this functionality, this is a great product and highly recommended.

Alright
Ok, i didn't buy it from amazon but i thought i would right a review anyway. The mouse is small and fits in the hand well. you can use it with the bluetooth USB receiver it comes with or if you have a laptop with bluetooth you can use that. Thats the reason I got it - because i didnt have to have any more wires. I have found no use for the media control buttons underneath the mouse though, or the laser pointer. Yes it is a "presenter" mouse so if you need it for that then those buttons may be useful. The mouse performs...alright, but to be honest for something thats rated at 1000 or 1600 dpi, it sure doesn't feel like it - its more optical mouse precision and can be jumpy at times. If you leave it in the same place for a while and start to move it again it lags alot to start with but that might be because it tuns itself off to save power (I Think)The main reason i have brought the mouse down for is the wheel. it doesnt click when you roll it like most mouse wheels do and is therefore very annoying and imprecise. I havnt been able to get the horizintal scrolling to work on it, and pressing the wheel button down is somewhat difficult, especially when you are tying not to make the wheel roll too much because it doesn't click.Overall, it is alot of money for some extra buttons most people wont have a use for and the wheel sucks. I would look elsewhere for bluetooth laser mouses and by no means should you buy this for gaming. If you want something that is small and you can transport easily with your bluetooth enabled laptop, then get it, but as i said, look elsewhere first.

FAILURE
I was unable to install this Mouse as I had to leave on an overseas assignment. It has failed to install properly and the mouse does not stay on for more than about eight seconds when I turn on the power switch underneath, despite trying several pairs of batteries. The seller (not amazon direct) just told me to contact Microsoft for warranty. I did and as soon as I told them the Product ID number contained "OEM" said I must return it to the seller. I am waiting for his reply. It seems like some OEM manufacturer has been packaging the product as Microsoft (I did NOT buy this with any other hardware) and I wouldn't be surprised to find that it may have come from a suspect batch. If I do not get satisfaction from the seller, and feedback from other manufacturers indicates problems in the past, I will have to escalate the incident. NOT a happy buying experience, the worst I have had via amazon and their approved sellers in nearly ten years.

Good buy
I have found this mouse really useful for training presentations.I don't have any problems with the signals between my computer WIFI and the mouse and do not use the USB stick.Only reason I don't love it is under "mouse" system it sometimes goes wild flicking through slides for no reason - however this wouldn't put me off recommending it to others

Just don't like it
I've tried hard to like this mouse as it is perfect for giving presentations but I just don't like it. Build quality is so-so. The battery cover doesn't line up exactly straight and when it sits on a flat surface, the four little pads it runs on are uneven so it rocks about in the diagonal just like a wonky table. At this price this is not good enough. In using the mouse (with the sensitivity turned all the way up) it seems slightly imprecise compared with my old Logitech VX Nano (which I lost). Selecting text takes just a little longer and the wheel, which does not click, also seems similarly imprecise, so much so that I've started using the scroll bars instead! Also the pressure needed to click is significantly higher than the Nano. I've tried living with it for a month now but I am just about to order another Logitech. I appreciate this is all very personal, but if you love better Logitech mice, I really don't think this is the mouse for you.

An awesome device for occasional presenter
This is a great notebook mouse if you do presentations ocassionally. There are probably better separate solutions if you do presentations all the time, but if you are doing it from time to time this Presenter Mouse is an awesome way to do it. The presenter stuff doesn't stand in your way when you use the mouse and the mouse is small enough to comfortably fit in the average size palm in presentation mode.

One of the best mouse I ever owned.
You will have to look very hard to find such a mouse. Very responsive keys, excellent functionality for presentations. I use it all the time.
