Fixed Optimyst Stove that was cutting out
My Optimyst Grand Stove started cutting out. Would light up for a few seconds then, at the point where the flames would usually be activated, the fire would click off. Completely dead. I could start it again, but it would cut out after one second. I googled discussion boards endlessly and suggestions were the PCB board, the fan or the transducer. The first two were beyond my competence. I bought this transducer and it worked instantly. It was easy to fit, just by placing it in the cavity. I’ve had it fitted a few days now and have used the fire every night. It’s running perfectly. I keep the flame on the lowest setting as this feels enough. The cable is longer than the original but there is plenty of room to gently pack it into the space behind. This has been worth it for me to diagnose the issue and get my fire working again. It may not last as long as the Dimplex one but the genuine ones are £60. If this lasts a year, I’ll consider it money well spent.

It works
This is close to the genuine part but the wire is very long. It all works as it should. Only tested for a week or two so wouldn't be able to comment on longevity. In regards to the extremely long wire, you just have to find somewhere to tuck all the excess in.

This works!
Love my fire, but true to form, the flame effect stops working after a while. If it's all clean, there's no limescale build-up, or any fan fault, and no other evidence of failure, you most likely need a new one of these transducers. I hesitated over choosing this as it's not made by Dimplex, but it was so much cheaper, I took a punt. Other reviewers have noted it doesn't have the little bit on its side so you know it's correctly slotted it into its place, and this is true. So, I inserted it on a best-guess basis, and switched the fire on, slightly doubtfully. Either I got lucky, or the little bit on the side doesn't matter, but it works fine. The flame effect is back to normal, and my little fire makes the room feel cosy again. This part is significantly cheaper than the Dimplex one, but I see no difference in performance, so I'm happy for now (let's see how long it lasts, though). It does have a longer black wire than is strictly necessary, so you kind of have to stuff that in a bit! These units only last 12-18 months (new Dimplex Optimyst owners take note) so knowing that this cheaper replacement works fine might helps others save a little bit when they are shopping for their next one.

Don't waste your money
Absolute rubbish. Lasted for 3 hours. If I could give less than one star I would.

New transducer
Arrived within a couple of days. It isn’t the exact same as the one I took out of the Dimplex Opti-myst fire but works perfectly!
