If I had ought this book first, then might not have bought the others on the same subject.This book has great instructions and photos.Very easy to understand how to create interesting faces, heads.I think it is well thought out and put together.If you are new to creating cloth, art dolls I suggest trying this book first.

This book not only shows how to create a great number of different types of faces, but it also shows what features best suit different face shapes. In addition, there is a section about making doll bodies. All in all, a most useful purchase.

The making of doll or of faces seemed a puzzle to me. She makes these designs look sooo easy. I wanted to learn these needle stitching projects for years now they keep me processing to keep my brains chance of healing.

Haven’t used it yes but I can’t wait!

The contents are wonderful, but I purchased this in Kindle form, and it is not acceptable. You cannot change the font size. I mean, you can theoretically change it, but that has no effect on the size of the book print, which is so tiny it is impossible. I'm sadly afraid I am going to have to return it. I strongly advise you do not purchase this wonderful book.

This book is so informative and goes into detail on all the different ways to give a doll personality.

Instructions are somewhat vague. Have to figure out your own sewing lines, as some of these are off. The rest of the book is excellent. Just don't like the sewing details.

Ray's books are always outstanding. This is no exception. Her talent in fiber arts really comes out in this book. Great illustrations and instructions and a must have for anyone making cloth art dolls.

Full of fun ways to inspire anyone to make a doll , very informative and accessible

Really fun and interesting face ideas for flat, dimensional and collage types. Ray Slater goes through the steps of how to design a face and then has a gallery of faces she has designed to give you examples and inspiration. It also includes doll body patterns for a male, female or stump doll. That was an extra I wasn't expecting.
