fantastic review of other religions
Walter Martin is spot on in his review of other religions. He has done his research and provided the results, I would highly recommend this book in every Christians library

Ok...but..
They deleted some major cults yhat were in the original. Gave it as a gift...disappointed!

Well organized and succinct
This book will be useful as a text for high-school students who hear about cults, but have no idea how these groups differ from the original intent of the Bible writers.

Very narrow minded
I used to listen to his radio program back in the day. Extremely narrow minded in his views. I bought the book and decided it’s a waste of my time and moved on.

This is a must have book.
If you want to defend your faith and stand out when the cultists come to you, this will be very helpful tool to expose and show their errors.

Absolute game changer when dealing with other people and their occultic beliefs
See other reviews on this book and the other book saying it’s “written by a Christian” but un ironically were commanded by God to burn the false idols of unbelievers, and to present them with the gospel. We’re not secularist we’re Christians, Walter Martin’s work in evangelism and giving apologias is a lot of info, with all respect to this brother in Christ I would say his work probably went unfinished, but a lot of that info is preserved with all built upon the foundation of God. God bless Dr. Walter Martin. P.S Christ or chaos

Was happy until I realized the author is Christian…
…Which of course leads to biases. I am an ex Jehovah’s Witness, and checked this book out from my local library. I was shocked to find the Satanic Temple as a cult in his eyes- doesnt stop me from being a satanist though, lol. I was wondering why he kept adding random ass Bible verses- and I was like “damn :/“. Returned the book immediately. Of course a Christian would think anything that doesn’t align with their beliefs is a cult. Honestly, interpretation is the big issue. As long as you aren’t hurting another human and promoting harmful ideas- who cares what you believe.

Good overview of the better known cults
Helps me to know what cults believe and how they contradict the Bible.
