Neat now turn it off.
Not just a toy but a neat innovation. Fun to build and see the mechanics of the item. I would have made the drum surface where it is impacted to make sound out of maybe something different. The whole kid is plastic which I understand but the noise is not very pleasant and it is simply because of plastic hitting plastic. Still neat to see it work but at the same time, had enough of seeing how it worked after a few seconds of that sound.

Third DaVinci model I've purchased built with 5-6 year old.
Bought this to build with one of my grandsons after having been impressed with other models by the same company. This model is made of heavy plastic (which is good), however I had to trim the axle connector significantly in order to fit it with the wheel.The completed model functions if you turn the wheels by hand but not by rolling. The good news is the child can see the mechanism operate.

Great for grade-school aged kid
This was a gift to my 9 year old nephew, who loves models. He was thrilled. He even sent me a video operating the drum!
