Rothco 8'' Forced Entry Tactical Boot

Before I ordered these boots I emailed the seller (BIGFLYSPORTS) with my shoe size and foot measurements. I read the reviews about how there were issues with the sizing, so I wanted to be sure I would receive boots that fit. I recieved an email from the seller telling me what size I should get, so that's the size I went with.I recieved my boots today and as soon as I got the box open I could tell they were too large. I put them on to see if It was something I could deal with.Not. Even. Close.The boots are at least a size too big.I found the sellers contact number and called to let them know I needed an exchange. I was greeted by a machine that asked me to leave a message. I basically told them what I wrote here and left my phone number for them to call me back.They didn't call me back, but they did email me to tell me that basically (though politely) that there was nothing they could do and I would have to contact Amazon since the item was shipped to their warehouse.I called Amazon and informed them of the situation and asked if I could exchange for another size. I was told I could not, and would have to do a return and I wouldn't get my money back until 2-3 WORK WEEKS after they've recieved the return.That means I can't buy any new boots for about 3 weeks.Well, when I get my money back, I'm definately not going to buy the same ones in a different size. I can't believe I took all the precautions that I did and I STILL got the wrong size!Do yourself a favor and go to a store and try them on. This company obviously can't be trusted to give you accurate sizes.It would be 1 star, but the boots did look really nice.Not worth the massive hassle.

I LOVE these boots and wear them a lot HOWEVER I have to say there is one con, and if the rest of the boot wasn't absolutely superior I would give this 1 star. If I lace the boots up my ankle gets rubbed and does not allow me to march in them without discomfort. This may be my problem due to my feet but never had it before with any shoe. I believe the cause is the metal plate on the side of the boot. So maybe is defective.Anyways I still love these boots. I wear them everywhere, they are my EMT boots as well. Would highly recommend them. They are very durable. I've been wearing them for two years and they aren't even starting to wear out and I wear them on marches, hikes, all EMT calls, just about everywhere. Probably the best boots I have ever bought tbh.

Bought a pair of these back in 2010 and I've worn them probably 95% of the time since. They're a bit heavy and awkward at first and the lining is pretty weak and was pretty much gone after a year or so but I double-sock so it doesn't really matter. They don't breathe very well and your feet WILL get warm but they're waterproof, provide good ankle support, they're tough as hell and perform well on just about any surface that's not wet tile. It's been almost 4 years of daily use and they're only just starting to fall apart on me - the only real problem being the little gaps between leather and sole and now my toes get wet just walking through a dewy lawn. I've dripped solder and muriatic acid all over them this past year and some of the fittings are only slightly corroded, even tripped over barbed wire which left a big gash in one toe but to this day it has still not opened through. Best boots I've ever had and I'm ordering my next pair right now :)

I ordered them for the waterproof feature, which they are extremely waterproof - my toes haven't been wet since. They're sturdy and hold up well to everyday use with no apparent wear or tear after two months.My only critique would be that, while I was breaking them in, I developed extremely bad blisters on my heels - they aren't flexible, especially at first, which is actually a good thing in the end. It took about two weeks for them to really work with my feet, and at times it was painful to walk in them.However, I got through it with bandaids and extra socks, and now I couldn't be happier with my boots.

So I bought these boots here last year. I work as a full time EMT and needed boots that were comfortable to be in for 12 hrs 4 days a week. The boots were a little rough on the feet to break in but after about 3 weeks they were perfectly comfortable. However it was advertised as being waterproof and I have not found that to be true... Maybe water resistant to a point but when you are walking in the snow with these boots my socks definitely did get wet. Another issue I had with the boot is that approximately two months ago I noticed that the nylon started to tear and is now basically a large hole in the boot.They are comfortable however they really aren't that great quality if you are going to be wearing them to work in. A little disappointed by that.

So I got these boots a little while ago. I have to say, they're fairly good. Like what they said in the description, you might want to get half to a full size down of what you actually got. Knowing me, I didn't read that part, so I got the size I normally wear. When I got them, they were big on my feet, yet they were comfortable.I play airsoft quite often, and usually outside. The place I go has a lot of hills, and a lot of mud and water. These boots are great for the job. No mud water has gotten into my boots, and they stay comfortable all day while hiking up all the hills. Even though they're a little big on me, I still give them a five star rating because of their quality! (I still recommend what they tell you in the description)

These are not bad boots. They are well constructed and I would have loved it if they had fit, but I only ordered a half a size smaller and it really should have been a full size to a full size and a half smaller than what I wear in other brands of boots. Who is doing the sizing in this company?It is more than frustrating ordering a product, and feeling like you hedged your bets ordering a half a size smaller, and finding that doesn't even begin to cover the spread on these.If you wear boots everyday and you need a pair now. Don't buy these. If you have a month to mail them back and forth until you get them sized right, then these are your boots. You will have to spend $100 to get as rugged a boot from a local retail store. I feel sorry for drop shipper's carrying this product.

My husband works outdoors all year around. He need waterproof boots for rainy days and this horrible winter in Ontario Canada. My husband loves these so much that he wares them even when he is not at work. They are waterproof and very comfortable. shipping was faster then expected.
