Thank you for your inquiry, R-Value of 23mm roVa Guard is R-0.587. roVa Guard is suitable to be applied anywhere an insulation is needed. However, please do note that Aerogel Powder may be dispersed, due to the nature of roVa Guard, as Aerogel powders are permeated within the padding.

Q: What effect will water have on the insulation>? Will it disolve?

Water will not be able to penetrate the padding due to permeated Aerogel particles. It will flow down through the padding due to Aerogel's hydrophobicity. However, please do note that a rough water pressure may cause the particles to be detached from the padding therefore may hinder the performance. Due to the fact that Aerogel particles are so light, a strong physical pressure/friction may hinder its adhesiveness from a binding material. Other than that, water will have no effect on the padding's insulation performance, as long as the padding is kept as friction-free state.

Q: What glue can I use to glue sheets of Rova Guard to make a small hollow structure with it?

Hi, you may use conventional 3M Adhesive Spray.
