For years I have been using secateurs for pruning flowering shrubs after the flowers have died which can be rather tedious. I have had shears before but they have all rusted up (despite washing and oiling after every use) and were heavy to use and it has taken me a long time to decide to try a new pair.For me, a lady in her 60s, these are perfect. Lightweight, nicely balanced and easy to use with soft handles. The shrubs I have that now need pruning with shears are spireas which have quite thin stems, and an awful lot of them. I have also used them on my ceanothus which has more tree-like branches and twigs and they have also worked easily on that.My choicyas also will need pruning though I may still use secateurs for those for a more accurate cut for each stem.The blades have a plastic protective cover and the tips have an extra hard plastic cover.I can't fault them so far.

Sturdy, good quality shears for garden work, nothing more to add.

These are amazing, the first photo was my garden this morning and the second this evening after getting through all of the hedges with these shears! Can’t fault them at all. They also cut my hedge out front lovely.
