Barron's Real Estate Licensing Exams Ninth Edition

i recently took a real estate course and the textbook required for the course was ok but i did not feel prepared enough to take the exam. i decided to check amazon.com for a book on real estate that was easier to understand and include a more detailed glossary. i chose the barron's edition and it is written with principles applicable toany state, includes an excellent glossary and is way easier to understand. for my money, barron's was an excellentchoice. maybe some day barron's will publish an edition specific to each individual state.

I took the online Kaplan course while on a deployment in Afghanistan. Then completely forgot that I had completed the required hours. Not wanting them to expire nearly 2 years later. I bought this along with a course book and some flash cards, for a week long cram fest. And still managed to pass.

very thorough and complete review. will be keeping this one my shelf long after i begin investing. better than the orginal textbook i used to get my license. only weak point was the math chapter, still 5 stars. id def buy this again, esp for 13 bucks

This book REALLY helped me study for the license exam in New York. Some laws do not apply and New York is more restrictive on what they will allow, for example Net Listings, the book will outline state rules. The only thing I would have liked is thicker pages, the pages are like newspaper, and thin, this is common with all Barron's books. For the price no other crammer helped more than this one, and I purchased three others. Make sure you get the updated version, a lot of laws have changed recently.

I specifically asked for 9th Edition and got an 8th Edition in the mail. I am getting ready to send it back. I have wasted my time.

First time in my life I did not have to make my own "flash cards". It's just how I learn. Then I read the cards into a recorder and playback the info every night. It's a huge help!

So far this has been a good buy. I'm currently studying for the exam and though there is a lot of text to go through, the study questions at the end of the chapters do help. I mainly use it for that purpose. I have noticed a few typos and the print is pretty small for my taste, but other than that, it has been pretty good. I still recommend using other texts and prep exams online and, of course, your study notes. Good luck!

Though the item was not for me it got very high remarks. Very satisfied. Barron's is a standard. Only tip I checked on was publication date as this seemed important with all the legal changes.
