I opened this can several days ago and the contents were great. If you like grits or Polena for long term storage or just eating right away, then this is what you want. I am a prepper, and this is really one of the few canned grits items that can be found. Lots in bags or packages. I wish they did long term 4-gallon buckets of them. I have mylar bagged other grits and they don't last or taste like these after several years. I have to purchase several more because 1, 5 pound can I purchased is nearly gone. I need a minimum of4 in my preppers BOB. They are great especially when you add butter powder. Yummmmmie! I like to experiment with different long term storage items. That is why we tested these grits with Auguson Farms butter powder. Really nice. One good thing about these grits is they are easy to rotate. Just eat em. Yummmmie. Just Boil the water, pour in the grits, add the butter powder and let them set for 5 minutes then eat em.

Can in good shape, haven't tried it, for long-term storage.
