Does the job for a good price!
Been using these to weigh down the lights and the bags are great quality, with the double zipper especially (keeps the sand inside). Can store a lot of sand or rocks or weights to keep equipment steady. Functions perfectly, made out of good thick material and quality zippers.

Will be buying more!
The Amazon Basics Photographic Empty Sandbags for Light Stands proved to be a game-changer for our Christmas tree setup this year. We used them to secure our Christmas tree stand, and they worked like a charm. Even with a mischievous cat climbing the tree and knocking off ornaments, the tree stayed upright, all thanks to these sandbags. Filling them with sand provided the necessary stability, and we are very pleased with the results. These sandbags are a must-have for anyone looking to secure their Christmas tree, and we plan to order more for our other trees next Christmas. A reliable and effective solution that exceeded our expectations.

Decent quality, does the job
I bought these for use in weighting down my christmas tree, since my cat tends to knock it over in the middle of the night. I also ended up using one for weighing my camera tripod down that I bought later. The material feels very durable, and the double zippers are nice to have, although I did have one of the zippers break when I tried to zip it up after filling. Luckily I used gravel, and the one zipper was enough to keep the larger than sand particles from escaping. Overall, a decently sturdy, inexpensive bag that works well for adding weight, although I'd watch the zippers for signs of failure.

Sturdy and Double Zipper
Buying this was a bit of a fiasco, but in the end I'm happy with the product once I finally received what I ordered. I went with another brand that was a couple bucks cheaper, that was supposed to have double zippers. Well, it came with velcro only, so I moved on. I decided to go with Amazon Basics instead, and once again to save a couple bucks I got a used one from the warehouse with only damage to the box. Well, they sent me the wrong item, so exchange.Once I got the bags, I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't expect this unit to have double zippers, but it did. I'll have to reread the descripsion to see if that was even promised. Bottomline, I finally go the product I wanted after two returns, but in the end I'm happy with the product.I'm using these to keep a gate from moving when our new puppy jumps on it. These are plenty heavy enough for that application.

The double zippers are handy
It says it's made for up to 20lbs, but was only able to personally use 12 lbs in it. It just didn't have enough room. I didn't use sand in this instance because the dampness would be too difficult to remove from the sacks one buys here in Home Depot. So I decided on the next best thing, smooth stone pea gravel. Was able to get the humidity out of them including the sand or small particles they come with in them using a $4 plastic basket (from there also) that I punched holes in the bottom in order to pan the sand using a garden hose onto the stones. Spread them over a black (unfolded) garbage bag in the blazing sun for about 36 hours to make sure they were very dry. Then was able to weigh them on a small scale and place 6 lbs in each pocket. Couldn't go more without it affecting the closing of the zippers. But it's enough for what I need them for thankfully. Saved a bunch of money with the method.

Perfect sand bags for securing my moth rigs in the wind
First, I'm so glad these did not come with the sand. Can you imagine what the shipping cost would be? And think of the poor Amazon driver; would probably get a hernia taking them to my door. Since they were empty, I filled them with play sand that I first put in sealed gallon Zip-Loc bags so the sand wouldn't leak out. I carry them in my car for weighing down my moth rig, used for nocturnal insect surveys, and it doesn't blow away when there's a bigger wind. Perfect for my needs.

Can't think of a better value for sandbags
Honestly, these sandbags are excellent for the price. The zipper feels rugged, although you won't use it much (it will likely stay zipped) and the the material is very strong. I generally use fine playground sand and put it inside of a double locking ziplock bag, then inside of this sandbag. That way I have an extra layer of protection from water, breakage, etc.I also fill these with variable amounts of sand for different stands, so they're more portable.Definitely buy these if you are looking for a great sandbag at a great price.
