Fundamentals of Building Construction: Materials and Methods

This book was a textbook for a class I took back in the fall. It’s a very long read but filled with great information. I am convinced this should be any any builders library!

I moved in to Canada about 7 months from Brazil, countries with completely different constructive methods. The book it’s extremely helpful with lots os schematic drawings, great contextualization and amazing didactics.

A lot of basic construction knowledge for amateurs

Love the content, the way everything is explained and the pictures to go with it. I noticed though, because of the glossy finish, if the hands are sweaty or oily, the ink (on the pictures or words) tend to get smudged. Just started reading the book and on chapter 2.

Arrived with the corner of pages 101 to 116 ripped out. From now on I will always check the pages inside a book as soon as I receive it. Unfortunately, I noticed the problem when it was too late to return the book.
