Just received yesterday and I love em!Don’t know how they’ll hold up, but flexible and fast charging!

I disagree with the product description that it charges fast. On my iPadPro 12.9 inch it cannot exceed 1 amp charging current, whereas other cables I have charge to 2 amps depending on the charge level of the iPad battery.It's probably a good cord for iPhones which don't need more than 1 amp charging. Seems sturdy enough and the springs at each end should protect the cable from mechanical failure.Nevertheless I bought it to charge my iPad so cannot give it more than 3 stars.Update 5/14/20: at times the cables charge my iPadPro up to 1.4 amps (as measured with my USB tester), which is above 1 amp but still about half amp slower than two other cables I have. So I still think they're slow for iPad charging but good enough, and in view of the spring reinforcement, I've increased the rating from 3 to 4 stars.

All my lightning cables in the past work great for a good while and then stop working, getting a short in the neck or intermittent charge or other issues. So I’m always replacing them every 6 months or so. I designed a solution I know would work better than anything but until then, these actually really surprised me. I thought the spring would stretch out and stop working so these cables would do what all cables eventually do. Stop working. It was over a year ago that I bought the first 5-pack and so far, none have stopped working (I have a charger at every “spot” around the house, TV, Work Desk, car, bedside, etc) and the springs are staying intact, not stretching out, kinking, or bending could like I thought they would. They hold the neck in place and keep them from bending too far and kinking, etc. Definitely the best cables I’ve had so far. If they keep up, maybe I won’t need to follow through on my perfect cable design :)

Straight out of the bubble wrap, one if the cords were “flying free” as my husband calls it. I grabbed a for that was wrapped and headed for the bedroom to charge while I did my meditating (hiding from 4 quarancaged wild beasts avoiding remote not learning for some Netflix). Thirty seconds into Ozarks he yells “Hey! Is your’s working?! Mine won’t work in any usb and the tip lightning end is black dirty...” well the one I was using was working but it doesn’t seem to be able to carry the current from a 2amp effectively for the cord length. Ya know what I mean? Like when you use a tool and you have a skinny little 18g extension cord stretched 30’ and so the plug gets warm and the motor and it just lags because you should’ve used a 10 or 12 g if you wanted it to power that far away from the source... that’s what I mean.So even on low power mode and plugged into the 2amp it was going up about 2% every 5mins while watching a program.18hrs later we’re down 2/5 of the cords 🥴 maybe a get what you paid for but it looks and feels like it wants to be a good quality cord. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe we got a fluke batch... maybe not.

4 out of the 5 work—unfortunately I got one dud, and didn’t get a hold of the seller in time with the amazon window to select contact seller.I like the wire spring protection at each end of the cord, it definitely aides in the durability dept with these lightning cords. It seems like you can’t find a brand that lasts, but it these have been great thus far. The charging power seems thorough and delivers the fast charge I need when connecting to power banks. These have been the sturdiest lightning charging cords I’ve yet to find. We are a family of 5, so we go through lightning cords like crazy because they never last long. I’m ready to purchase one more 5 pack for the Fam so that we have back up cords for vehicles, RV, work etc.

So these wires are very similar to my OEM Apple wires - except they are a fraction of the cost and have a few upgrades to them. First off the five 10 ft wires are about the same cost as one 3 foot Apple branded wire - which to start off with is fantastic! I prefer to use my usb wall outlets and having a long wire makes it a lot easier to use as they can reach anywhere. The joint that connects the wire to the usb part and the lightning part is made really well and it seems to have a lot more give than my Apple OEM wires- which usually means they last longer as they seem to break first for me on those joints. The lightning part seems to fit in all cases which is nice as this is a problem I have experienced with other lightning wires in the past. It is an exceptional value and I am never going to buy Apple branded wires again since these ones are fantastic!

We bought these cables bc they specifically said they are "fast charge". Sadly, they are not! We love the durability of the cables - especially with the spring where the cord connects to the usb plug - but these do NOT provide a quick charge to our device. It takes longer than usual to charge our device using these cables.
