Forever my baby
This controller is perfect for beginners! It’s light weight, and does not need to be connected to any outlets besides your laptop (your laptop must connect to the speakers using the splitter) it gets you familiarized with Rekordbox. This little thing is perfect to get the basics of mixing down. I learned within a few months and DJ’d at a few clubs with it and its was the best moments of my life :,) The only issue is that the sound is not loud enough so it’s not ideal for club settings tbh because I’d have to max up the volume a lot of times, but this controller is perfect to learn and it will absolutely help you towards learning and mastering intermediate controllers.

Best beginner controller by far, Not the best mobile friendly
Bought this as my first controller, and god, am I glad I did. This controller has never failed me, and the only things That didn’t work were on my end. Along with many other pioneer products, the durability and quality is outstanding. If you’re looking to get into DJing definitely get this. It’s a good starting point, so you don’t go all out and buy a $1500 ddj 1000 without even knowing if you like the skill or not. It’s got all the basics of DJing in it, a high, mid, and low filter nobs, as well as a filter knob. The scratching is relatively good, I haven’t owned too many controllers myself, and don’t often scratch, so take that with a pinch of salt. Reviews saying this is bad either couldn’t figure out how to set it up, or are using mobile for the controller, which is very limited because of the dmca copyright guidelines. It’s not their fault. If you want to figure out how to use it, read the damn manual, read an online manual, look up how to. If you are wondering why it’s expensive, know pioneer is widely considered one of the most, if not the most reliable and advanced dj controller manufacturers. If you want a good controller that won’t ever fail on you, that’s entry level, but this. I would and always have recommended pioneer. Just my opinion, don’t go for another brand. You will understand what I mean like once you buy. The only, ONLY, complaint I have, is the performance pads are a bit loud, so if you’re using them a lot, definitely put headphones on if you’re keeping the music quiet. If you’re partying, you won’t ever be able to hear it in the first place.

Nice (for beginner djay)!
This was something really new to me, I did use to djay with vinyl before digital came along. I like the ease of using it “tho”, but now I use my iPad. 🎶🎶😎

So far so amazing
I purchased my DDJ200 like new. The o my thing I do t like about the seller is they charged me the price of it brand new in every major music store as well as online at Amazon as well. They have a $25 up charge on a new item. Other than that I love the unit. Not sure why it was returned because our the gate I was able to really rock on edjing on my iPhone and rekordbox on my MacBook. Since my entire set up is bluetooth it connected seamlessly I only had to plug it into the laptop or into the wall but even my dj speakers have Bluetooth. I do t know why but I also got a Manuel for a drone in my box I’m sure who ever returned it made a mistake and sent it in. That just tells me the seller did t look over the package when it was returned. Other than pricing and that drove Manuel the unit is great for beginners and pros that have smaller gigs and do t need to haul all their big equipment around. Everything that does t have a button on the DDJ 200 is accessible in the software other than a few buttons and a little size it’s the same as the DDJ400 and I highly recommend this. If you have Tidal you have full access to all of your music. Apple Music doesn’t play any songs as of yet however it links to rekordbox but doesn’t allow you to load you music in the decks, but SoundCloud, beatport, and tidal offer full access to your own custom playlist and I love that. I just hope the unit lasts and isn’t broken In Any way since I’m sure they didn’t look at the return because that drone Manuel threw me for a loop thank god I didnt need a Manuel because the unit walks you through set up on the MacBook as well as the phone and there’s tons of videos on YouTube if you have never played music Before in Your life

Convenient and portable yet effective
The DDJ-200 is a great unit for the beginner DJ and allows the user to easily jump into the mixing game. It’s size lends way to convenience of storage and travel but it’s size doesn’t interfere with its quality by any means. Pioneer took their time with this unit making it learnable and easy to navigate for the DJ novice!

DDJ 200 Not Working / Product is Toy for little
I received the product it's not working, and the way it's shown in the picture is not the true size. I regret I purchase this product. it's hard to return the items due to the different laws on return electronic. This product is for little kids to play with not for a regular DJ function. I am not recommended for a person who wants this product for DJ functions. YOU WILL REGRET YOU PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Super great product!
I absolutely love this product! The drivers downloaded automatically on my windows 7 computer. All you need to do is go to Rekordbox make an account and download the software. I was actually surprised it worked so well with my computer. If your looking for a beginner dj board this is the one.

Its important to read the product description here to understand what this controller is about. It appears some of the other reviewers here didn't do that! NO it doesn't have an inbuilt soundcard. it uses the sound from your mobile device or Computer/laptop (as stated in the description) and that works great. NO you cannot use the controller to control all features of the DJ software, ie. searching for the next track. You will need to interact with the DJ software on laptop/mobile device. NO it doesn't support Spotify. But NO controller/ DJ Software does as of 01/07/2020. Spotify seems to have changed their policies here. I was fully aware of what it can and cannot do before buying. HOWEVER i was still disappointed after i got it and set it up. WHY? The WEDJ software. I have an original iPhone SE so it is absolutely tiny on that screen. OK, I could have lived with that but the software was very slow to load tracks to the respective decks and analyse the BPM. It even doubled the BPM on some tracks for some reason. This meant that drum n bass was playing at twice the speed!! Two flyers in the packaging told me that the software is also compatible with the DJAY app and EDJING. However, after checking the app store I saw that the "pro" versions were only available with subscriptions. The pro versions have pretty essential features, like headphone cueing. As I didn't want to sign up for extra costs and I didn't like WEDJ, I decided that the DDJ 200 was not for a me. A realshame as I was impressed with the hardware. The next day I had a change of heart and thought maybe a monthly subscription wouldn't be so bad, so I installed the DJAY app on my iPad. I followed the instructions to connect it the the controller and that worked perfectly. I just wanted to try the App with the controller, assuming I wouldn't be able to access the "pro" feature, like headphone cueing. HOWEVER, to my surprise after connecting the controller the headphone cueing feature suddenly became available! GREAT! I had all the feature I need to get DJing. The point is - if you are unhappy with the WEDJ software on your phone, give DJAY a go!! You don't have to pay for a monthly subscription to get the features you need. its so much better than WEDJ and works really well with the controller, no lagging no glitches. I have therefore decided to keep the controller and I'm really happy with it!! I just wanted a device to use to DJ at home in my spare time, no professional kit needed. The bonus of this device is its portability. You can connect it to a power bank and set it up in a garden, park, by the pool, whatever. Its also very light and can fit easily in a rucksack. All the essential buttons and knobs/sliders are nice and large and have a good "feel" to them. Nothing feels cheap or loose. The jog wheels are compact but also feel great. Hope the review helps and stops anyone from being put off just because of the WEDJ software! five stars for Pioneer. Well done for coming up with a controller for the masses UPDATE: The WeDj software is actually not that bad. I have it a second try and figured out a few settings. It certainly works and for free version it gets the job done.
