Men's 16 Inch Full Grain Cowhide Leather Laptop Briefcase Messenger Bag Tote with YKK Metal Zippers

Purchased for my husband at Christmas so I do not have a long-term perspective yet, but I can say a few things. First, I sympathize with anyone trying to find the perfect leather laptop/brief. I think I looked at nine thousand of them but had a strict list of "musts." He has a 17in laptop (large) and I insisted the bag have laptop padding (they don't necessarily, which is weird.) I wanted pockets or places for pens, business cards, and maybe a few extras. The shoulder strap had to be detachable, the buckles had to quick release, and I stayed away from anything with reviews of hardware wearing out or dye transferring from the bag to clothing. I also really tried to find something made in the United States. I ordered one bag from ebags billed as "leather," and sent it back because it was 75% nylon mesh. This bag from Texbo was my second purchase and it's so far, perfect.The leather on this bag is sturdy with a soft surface. It's obvious over time a patina will class up the appearance. The hardware is solid and not awful brassy. It almost has more of a darkened gold tone to it. The strap is plenty long (hubs is 6'3) and the interior of the bag appears to be put together well. The external stitching is also strong. My husband loves the appearance and versatility; it's subtle and handsome. His laptop fits perfectly and no reports of color transfer. We did not treat the leather despite living in the rainy NW but it isn't like he's taking it hiking, either. We'd rather have the natural finish of the bag; it's lovely.I almost gave up on this bag while it was in transit. Maybe it was the time of year, but it appeared to be stuck in California for over a week, with no updates, before showing up at my door unexpectedly. The packaging was great. Texbo first had the item in a breathable mesh sack type thing and then bagged and boxed. It was ready to be wrapped and given as a gift. There is no horrible odor as mentioned in reviews of some other bags.I unfortunately couldn't find anything online about Texbo beyond Amazon. I'm hoping it is truly a Texas-based producer of cowhide goods.Based on the initial quality of the bag, my guess is it will last a very long time.

Very nice. Just as the other viewers stated, it's a little smaller than I expected but it turns out to be just the right size for what I need. I'm using it for a Lenovo X1 Carbon and it fits quite nicely with accessories. I wish the shoulder strap were nicer. It's fabric with a leather strip and the shoulder pad is a little flimsy. It's definitely not on par with the quality of the rest of the bag. If the strap were better I would give it five stars.

I was hesitant buying this item after having read a few one star reviews highlighting quality issues.Have been using this bag for a while now and all seams, buckles and straps are holding up - and I do pack a lot into this bag at times.It has now a very nice patina and the occasional scuff mark gives it even more character.Very good value for money

This is an outstanding bag for the price. I purchased this because I was starting a new job and wanted to look very professional in the board room. The quality is top notch. The leather is very thick and has that great "leather smell". I love the way it looks more "weathered" every day. I have seen nicer bags in some local leather stores but for comparable quality they start over 200 dollars up to 300 dollars. Cons, the zipper section in the middle could be a little better quality and the strap could also be a little more durable but both of them are still fully functional. The color is a little more of a mustard brown not as "brown" as the pictures show. I personally like the lighter color because I have always had black bags in the past and they start to show signs of wear much easier. The light color when it gets scratches adds to the look of the bag. The bottom line is I am very happy with this purchase and the quality. I would buy this bag, at this price over and over again.

very impressed with initial quality. seems well made with chunky hardware, good stitching, and high quality leather. It looks and feels very masculine. Easily fits a 15 in laptop with room to spare. I would like just a little more padding in the computer compartment, particularly on the bottom. Not a huge issue as I'll probably just find a small piece of foam to lay in the bottom.Note: this leather distresses easily. I haven't even used it and there is a scratch down the side of it (photo). It wasn't there when it arrived so I must have done it somehow, so the slightest bump will leave lines in the leather. Just know that over time it's not going to keep the smooth look it has when it arrives so you have to like the distressed look if you buy this. This doesn't bother me but may for some.

The bag is excellent, well designed and pleasing to the eye. The buckles are heavy duty as is the stitching, I have no doubt this bag will last me for years to come. I am very pleased. It easily holds my laptop, ipad Pro (the smaller one) and keyboard for ipad. There was even room to keep my notebook. I really like everything about it, it is not too big but not too small. It dresses up for work, yet it rolls casual too - I don't mind taking it with me to the local coffee shop. The bag certainly runs heavier than one of equal size made out of a synthetic material but if you are worried about the weight maybe don't look for a leather bag at all. Given the quality leather, great looks and excellent workmanship, I will be buying from Texbo again. I plan to get my kid one as a graduation gift!

I bought this Texbo bag about a year ago, looking for an affordable genuine leather laptop bag for work. It is an attractive bag, with lots of space inside, metal zippers that are built to last. To this day it has maintained its form with no tears or rips anywhere in the bag. The only reason I can't give this bag 5 stars is because one of the screws on the clips fell out and so periodically I have to tighten the remaining one screw so the clip doesn't fall off. I will ask if they have a replacement screw and will edit my review back to 5 stars if Texbo can provide me one.

I bought the Texbo Messenger bag based on the positive reviews I have read. The bag arrived sooner than stated, packed in protective bag that can be kept for future use/storage. As it was a Christmas present, my daughter has only started to use it and is very impressed. Not only does this bag look good, she said it feels comfortable on her shoulder and provides effective protection for her computer. It also has enough room in it for the other material she needs to travel with. She is very happy with it. Thank you Texbo! It is great having a happy daughter.

I bought this bag for my husband for a medical bag to replace his old worn-out black fabric one. Now he actually looks like a professional doctor (in clinic office clothes or in scrubs!) and it fits his laptop, documents and everything else he needs. I did notice some scratches on it, but the care instructions said you can buff out minor scratches with your finger, so I tried it, and it worked! We've only had it 2 weeks, but so far, the craftmanship, durability and sturdiness seems good; a big improvement over the last bag!

UPDATE: texbo contacted me and will be sending a replacement bag, they believe this one was a return and was damaged from that. I'm excited to get the new bag in and will update on it when it arrives.Just took it out of the packaging and its scratched and scuffed and has knicks all over it. This was supposed to be a great gift for my husband and now I have to figure something else out. For $150 I really expected more.

This is a seriously quality briefcase / Laptop Bag. When you factor in the thick leather material , finish and feature quality you realize how we women get totally hosed when we buy a purse! For 150 Canadian my husband has the last briefcase he will ever need. Even if ( a big if ) anything were to wear out or break years down the line, it is the kind of item that you would take to a leather/ shoe repair shop for repairs.Don't hesitate to buy one, it's a remarkable value...that next leather purse you buy? Think hard about it. It is going to seem pretty poor value in comparison!
