I had bought a 3 in 1 pliers from Joann’s that was supposed to cut wire. It doesn’t . Scissors do better on 20 gauge.For 12 gauge I needed something better.This mighty blue pliers is AMAZING! Fast, clean cut!

I’m so glad I purchased this tool for cutting memory or other craft wire. What the experts say is absolutely accurate: typical jewelry side or flush cutters will be ruined by the wire. These memory wire cutters are designed to do the job. They are comfortable to use and make a reasonably clean cut. I want to use them a little longer to determine if I’m not holding at the best angle or if another brand may be necessary. I say this because the wire end has a *slight* rough edge from the cut.
