This OBD-II dongle gives a complete and exact information about your vehicle, no other inexpensive devices can be compared. It gives you the ability to read MIL code, full ECU & TCU diagnostics, ABS, SRS program keys (no smart keys) and others. I do not believe it only works with one phone, I currently own and upgraded several smartphones and use them when needed. Although, dongle binds only to one email account. All you have to do is download the Autel MaxiAP200 app, then login to your email address that you register/bind with, after that, continue downloading its corresponding applications and your good. It is not the greatest app of all, but it will get improve through updates and it is also actively supported.

THIS THING IS A MUST FOR 10th GEN CIVIC. (Or any vehicle that has rear electronic parking brake). If your anything like me that likes to get there hands dirty and constantly modding or performing routine maintenance on your car this is a MUST HAVE. Changing the rear brakes with a vehicle with electronic parking brake can be a pain, but with this you can put the EPB in maintenance mode so you can work on your brake pads. ALSO, by doing this you don’t need those annoying rear brake pad compressor tools that twist the piston. By putting the EPB in maintenance mode you can compress the caliper piston like you do with Front Honda pads, no more needed to twist the piston clockwise to compress it! Yes it is possible to change your rear pads without this, but by doing so without placing the EPB in maintenance mode you can run into issues where you kill the EPB, get an error code with the only fix is buying a new rear caliper (Read Honda Forums about EPB). Also be careful with the EPB connector on the rear caliper as they are EXTREMELY fragile plastic and break easily which results in EPB error codes. If you receive an EPB code check the wire harness connection on the rear caliper before doing anything else! I always disconnect them before loosening anything and don’t forget to remove your Honda out of EPB maintenance mode.

This thing worked great on my Maserati Quattroporte to reset the service light/"service needed" message to do an oil change. I didn't have to pay the Maserati dealership $300 to do that. I also didn't have to pay the dealership $600 to do an oil change as I do those myself for way less.

This is a horrible product Im really questioning the reveiw count. I bought this product 6 months before I opened it and regret now. Cant get it to register properly and it not my phone thats the issue I already confirmed that with so called customer service. I have an android and urge people who consider buying this item to PLEASE look at the Play store reveiws before your purchase .The app stands at 2.2 stars by 96 people. The app is crap. Cant speak for Apple users but GOOD LUCK regardless. I cant register this product although I went thru a complete registration process with Autel Customer Service to no prevail not once but twice And left off with them the second time with them promising me they would send me an email with instructions to fix this a week ago! I cant update firmware on this device either and that may be just part of the problem. I spent $70 on this product just to use it as basic OBD2 scanner which I could have got a $20 one from amazon that does the same thing without all the glitches! I have no access to ANY advanced features that this device offers because of the registration process, I also tried reaching out to customer service via the link provided in the items details WITH NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY!! I really feel as tho I was HOOD WINKED with this one ..NOT A GOOD FEELING. When it works, it’s awesome. Doesn’t like to stay connected to my phone via Bluetooth. Not the fastest connection but again, does a lot more than a standard app and Bluetooth module. One of the few that can read hybrid freeze frame data.

The Autel AP200 (HT200) is small, convenient, and surprisingly easy to use. I kept it for those reasons alone — it’s the kind of tool you toss in the glovebox and forget about until your dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree. It doesn’t do a ton, but it does identify problems well enough to point you in the right direction. The catch? Subscriptions. Endless subscriptions. Every vehicle type wants its own paid add‑on, like you’re assembling a diagnostic tool one DLC pack at a time. If you own more than one car, prepare to feel like you’re funding a small streaming service. Great size, decent capability, but the paywall parade definitely takes some of the shine off.

A great product once you learn how to use it. Very useful if you use it to search for any faulty faulty codes BEFORE taking your vehicle to any service center. Of course do-it-yourselfers will find it highly beneficial too. The only thing I'd like to know is if it's okay to leave it plugged in all the time.

Best scanner I've ever used. Worked great on my 1999 Mercedes clk320 and my 1998 Infiniti i30. Was able to check all running systems and clear codes from all of them. Not to mention it has a search option for every code it is able to display. 100% recommend for any backyard mechanic that can't afford a snapon
