Yale Security D510KN01 Kincaid Passage Lock, Satin Nickel

This passage lever in satin nickel has a nice uniform finish to it. I think it will last thru a long time of daily use. It feels heavy duty and made of a thicker gauge of metal than cheaper hardware.The lock fits any standard 1-3/8" or 1-3/4" thick door with either a 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backset. You can make the adjustments on the strike bolt by rotating the housing to shorten or lengthen it. I found the hardware to be of good quality and comparable to other name brands. I like Yale locks and especially their smart deadbolts that work with Alexa.If you have any problems with the hardware such as breakage or malfunction they are very good about honoring their limited lifetime warranty. I have called their customer service before and they gave me a quick response.This Kincaid series has an almost commercial industrial feel but is tempered by the softer edges and thin lever handle that transitions nicely into the cylindrical arm. I think it looks good in an modern design. It has a smooth action and good quality feel to it. It is on a higher pricing tier for interior door hardware, but I think you get what you pay for with this one. It features concealed screws and that is almost always a sign of a higher quality design. 5 stars.

I was told by Yale Product Support that this lever would work in place of the round knob that came standard with the Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus. It does not. Now it’s too late to return as it took over a month for our door to come in and be pre-hung. Very disappointed. Please do a better job with supporting your own products!

This is a lovely door lever. My inside back door (opens into laundry room and pantry) has been a nightmare to use for quite a while--okay, years! It has a knob that slides in my hand easily if my hands are wet (frequently), and sticks and does not turn easily to open. It usually takes two or three tries. It's one of those things you live with that makes you crazy! I decided to act, and got this Yale lever. It is very attractive, was a great value! and my husband found it very easy to install. No more turning--even with full, wet hands, it opens easily every time. Thank you, Yale! I am very pleased!

I ordered the Yale Security D510KN01 Kincaid Passage Lever in Satin Nickel. The lever did not come with instructions, but I have installed similar handles and was able to install this handle quickly. If I had not installed similar handles or would have needed a template, this would have been an issue. This was likely an oversight in packaging. The handle is attractive and has a cool feeling and strong appeal. The lever turns downward slightly but was installed correctly. It is a slight turn but any more could be bothersome. The Yale Security handle has a limited lifetime warranty as well. There are other handles available that have a prestigious look and are similar in design. They do not have a lifetime warranty but do not have a downward point. I would consider this handle as an option again.

I got this to install on my garage to house door where I had an old school round turn knob which was cumbersome to use when my hands were dirty. Needless to say this does the job wonderfully, I can now use my elbow to open the door if I need to. Opens when turned up or down.Installation was very easy, in fact it is the friendliest system I've encountered. The only tool I needed was a Philips head screwdriver. The long bolts have little rubber grommets on them which keeps them in place during the installation process. The covers snap on easily just like the door handle itself. To remove them, there's a brass pin on the front of the door which needs to be pushed in.The travel of the handle feels solid and since everything inside is thick metal I expect a long life out of it.Overall I would recommend this setup, it is very well built and seems to go for a reasonable price.

Purchased this as a companion to a new Yale Bolt lock. Installed the handle as per the instructions. Within one use the internal mechanism snapped, causing my door to be stuck closed. This handle was not supposed to be locking, but because it broke, I was locked out. Had to get creative to open again, Yale support non existent. They make great smart locks but avoid this at all costs.

Not impressed! I have been reviewing a variety of door knobs from different companies and this was the only company I would say I was not impressed with. The lock itself appears sturdy, it is a tractive, end it appears to be well constructed. But one will never know because there are absolutely no instructions in the box whatsoever! None, zip, nada… They do put a template in it as part of the cardboard box and it is in my opinion shotty and unacceptable. I didn’t even look at the price because it doesn’t matter, unless you put doorknobs in for a living and have done so many that you couldn’t possibly get it wrong this is not a door knob to pick up

I wish this handle was more aesthetically pleasing. It's very generic for the price. If you want something simple, there are better options at a more affordable price. It was easy to install though and we'll see how it holds up over time.
