Like Night and Day
Old burner was literally bending and caving in on itself. Once I installed this brand new one holy moly I’ve been missing out! I am able to get water to a rolling boil in a much shorter amount of time. I almost feel like the performance is increased where the burner gets hotter than it ever could! Great burner feels quality.

Genuine GE Range Replacements!
I was impressed to find these 8" GE electric elements for my stovetop! I was hesitant ordering these, not knowing if I was getting quality replacements or not. They are the exact replacements. They fit perfectly and work great! I ended up replacing all the 8" and 6" heating elements on my stove.

Better than buying a new stove so go with genuine OEM
My stove is 23 yrs old and the grate tips were rusting out where it gets inserted into the heating element. I had to bend them to fit back in and knew one day they would snap off and be dead. I researched and read the reviews and bottom line was don't go with the cheap ones get the genuine OEM and also 1 big tip was to make sure the "long arm on the grate" matches your existing one...and that's that! Works great!

Fits perfectly
Installation was super easy. Pop out the old one, pop in the new one. I paid the premium price that this cost for the genuineness and quality. The logo in the middle matches with all my original ones, so it was worth the price to me.

Does not fit, "arms" under burner too short, and burner plug blades bent and angled.
This burner is supposed to be same as the original part it was to replace. The metal strut, "arms", or whatever the 3 silver-color supports are called, under the burner coil simply are too short. And there are no notches to securely hold the coils in place. Also, inserting this coil into the plug-in receptacle for it shows how crappy this thing is. First, I had to slightly turn the blades of the coil to just be straight. THE BLADES ARE AT AN ANGLE. Also, ONE OF THE BLADES IS BENT TOWARD THE OTHER ONE. I use a lot of tools in woodworking, so I know my way around things. So, after making the blades as correct as possible, and plugging in the coil burner, the coil unit will not sit flat, it angles up. This is the coil structure. AND THE ARMS UNDER THE COIL ARE TOO SHORT TO CORRECTLY FIT INTO THE BURNER PAN. This is useless. I went to another company to order a replacement made by a different manufacturer. I can see is has the notches and the "arms" seem to be the correct length. What really ticks me off is that the words stamped on the center disc are the exact same as the original burner. Meaning, it is supposed to be an original manufacturer replacement. Its garbage. Hopefully the folks making secondary market replacements have it right. They look right; fingers crossed.

Very Good Quality But... may need work
The GOOD: This 8 inch range coil is of excellent quality. The coil is very flat, and securely attached to the frame by steel “ears” that grab the coil rigidly, like my original coil, and UNLIKE the several prior ones from other Amazon suppliers, that were lightly built, rattled (!), and in which the coil and frame were connected by loose strips of very thin metal just wrapped over the coil. Watch out – some other store's coils in the Amazon listing also showed the steel ears attachment, but on arrival, were the flimsy type. The frame fits perfectly. This coil is from the “GE Store”, $30.92, about twice the price of some crummy ones, but still not “expensive”, and well worth the price. The inside plastic bag states “GE WB30T10074 – SURFACE ELEMENT.” And “Mexico.” The packing slip says the same. BUT, the coil ends to the plug were about ½ inch too short, and were too thin, being just folded-back metal. They could not be grabbed by the plug contacts. Our GE range is Model JCP 68-0W2WH, bought 1981. Perhaps the new coil were designed for later versions of slightly different dimensions? Fixing this was hard. I cut the link between the coil ends. Then put one end carefully into a heavy vice as close to the coil as possible, while wrenching on the extended coil end forcefully but carefully to stretch out the bend enough. Then repeat on the other. Then test in the stove. Then mess around a bit more ... Impossible to visualize this without having the coil in your hands. I also widened to contacts to about 3/16 inch by splitting the folded end, pounding a chisel into the slot, which obligingly opened readily. Then, it works. However the coil glowed brilliantly red, versus the dull red we were used to. I found that the resistance of this new coil was 20 Ohms, versus 28 Ohms in the old. Thus this coil is (28/20) squared, or about 40% more powerful than the last. Will it burn our prematurely? Maybe, but at least now it boils tea water in a zip!

Not the cheap, knock off versions you buy at local hardware stores
We had purchased a "Off-Brand" 8" replacement burner for a local hardware store but it just would not heat up like the other original burners that had came with our stove over 20 years ago. Looking on Amazon, we found this like for like replacement GE WB30T10074 Electric Range Surface Element and decided to take a chance and spend the extra money to replace the defective burner. So glad we did, the difference was immediately noticed! Once received and plugged into the stove top outlets, the new burner heat up just as fast as the other 3 original GE Surface Elements. This was a case for us that spending a little more money for the original manufacturer was completely worth it.

Perfect Replacement for GE Electric Range
This fit my 10-year old GE electric stove perfectly. I checked the GE website to confirm it was the right one for my model and their price was in the 90s. It looks identical to the burner it replaced . . . except the logo in the center hasn't turned dark from heat yet. It arrived promptly and well-packaged. I highly recommend this seller.

Works very well

I used it to replace the burner on my new stove. Not a fan of the heat sensor burners (they suck) that are on new stoves now. I’m old enough to decide the temperature I want my stove at. So this burner works perfectly.

The three metal struts on which the heating coil rests, may be slightly too large to fit in side the chrome supporting ring on the stove itself. This will entail cutting back each strut by about 1/8 of an inch. Care must be taken to ensure all three struts are cut back the same amount so that the prongs will fit properly into the stove socket.
