Works as advertised
This is the first product review I believe I've ever left on Amazon. I wanted to review this product because I was so impressed by it. This product definitely works as advertised. My cat had made numerous large tears in a very nice down comforter. I used this to seal the holes and, boom---no more feathers flying everywhere. It dried very fast and I can't see where the tears were. I also used this on a pair of awesome comfy pajama pants that got a huge rip in the crotch area. I was extremely impressed with how strong the bond was. I would really have to apply a lot of strength to try to rip the seam apart. I have washed the pants multiple times and the strength still holds the same. Because it's a liquid, it's a tiny bit awkward to try to apply and get a rip to look nice when you put it back together. I have not tried it on any fancy apparel. But it is extremely handy to have around. It takes a fraction of the time of sewing and, frankly, it holds better than anything I could probably sew. I'm next going to use it on a hole that developed on one of my son's relatively new shirts, and I know it will take no time. Currently, this is my top purchase of the year, just because it's so handy and it does work as advertised. I think it also pays for itself by the things it will save, which you would probably end up throwing away. And it's also worth the fast results.

Very handy stuff!
I bought some jeans at a thrift store, only to discover at home that the hems had never been sewn. They were glued, and the glue had long since disappeared. The jeans were great, and I thought I would try out the glue approach. It was pretty simple to apply, but I learned that it should be applied more generously than I first thought. However, it did save the jeans. I am very happy to have it on hand now. I will use it again!

Doesn't really work.
The consistency is like heavy cream. It's hard to work with; it's a relatively runny liquid. It takes a long time to set up and a very long time to dry. It's not good for quick repairs as the recommended drying time is 24 hours. The bond it creates is not very strong even when a lot is used. It doesn't really dry clear. The only good thing I can say is it's flexible. It would be okay for things like decorations that don't require any real strength and can be left overnight to dry. You could do just as well with white school glue. For quick clothing repairs you're better off using super glue. The problem with super glue is it's not flexible. What is needed is something with the strength and drying speed of super glue that is also flexible. This stuff is not the answer.

Works ok
When this arrived the bottles were all smashed down. Wasn’t leaking or anything so I thought okay I can use it , it should be fine. Since there was not any punctures or leaking out of the smashed bottles. I cut the tip off and went to use this and it SMELLS HORRIBLE!!! SMELLS LIKE A WEEK OLD BOX OF DEAD FISH!! And it doesn’t dry clear. I’ve never used this before so I am not sure of it suppose to smell like dead fish and dry a brownish color?? I gathered by the description that it’s suppose to dry clear but it has not dried clear?? Is this normal?? I wish some one could answer this for me!

Works
I bought three products on Amazon.com to hem a pair of shorts (made from a brand new pair of pants) because they don't sell shorts in Utah in the fall months. Some iron-on fabric tape; a hand-held sewing machine; and this glue product. We're going on vacation, and I wanted some non-ugly shorts (read: "NO CARGO SHORTS"). Men should not have to wear ugly cargo shorts. Especially with sandals. Jeez. Let us look good! I tried iron-on fabric for a patch on another pair of pants which worked well, but which would have been tedious for the hem on the shorts--so I didn't bother with it. I tried the new handheld sewing machine which was too hard to use--it only made a top stitch, which then had to be tied off. Then you had to stitch the other side and tie it off too. Too much work. And you seem to need three hands to make everything work well. The fabric glue seems to work really well. It was used on a new pair of corduroy pants (made into new shorts). Even with very little fold-over of the fabric, I just applied a little of the glue and held it for a few seconds. All the way around each pantleg. Works well. Tried the shorts on the next day and they looked good. Not sure how it will hold up in the long run (with laundering)... as I really just wanted to make sure I got at least a single wear out of the shorts on vacation--which I think will work no problem. One thing I didn't like--the directions say to fill the clear bottle (included) for doing a non-trivial job (like a pant hem). Unless you dispense very, very slowly from the source bottle into the clear bottle, the goop will overflow and spill everywhere. You need to "poke" the glue going into the clear bottle with the applicator to release the air bubble in the clear bottle or it will never make it in to the clear bottle. Overall, very satisfied with the product. Didn't have to go to a tailor to get a pair of pants hemmed. Would recommend and use again.

Perfect for patch repairs
Absolutely perfect! I've used this so many times with multiple items. Jeans, leggings, a couch. The only thing I'd suggest is not to keep it for long inside the travel lipgloss looking container, it will dry out.

Great for hemming pants
I ordered this item after reading reviews that said it was great for hemming pants. I'm short, so I almost always have to hem any new pants I buy, unless they are cropped to begin with. Reviewers advised to go easy on the application of the fabric glue, so I did. I hemmed two pair of Betabrand pants. There was no leak through of the glue, it went on very easily, and most importantly, it works great. Even if after several washings, the glue loses its hold, it will be easy enough to apply again. Very satisfied.
