Q: When I connect it, id does total silence. How do I fix it?

If you are trying to plug it into a mixer or audio system, it won't work. If you are trying to plug it into the kind of socket that accepts a traditional mike, it won't work. It's a Lavalier microphone, which is a specific kind of microphone different from a standard condenser mike. That's not just some random brand-name of the mike. It requires a 10V supply via the plug you plug it into, which is quite different from the 48V phantom power required by a standard condenser mike. In fact, you can burn the mike out by plugging it into such a 48V phantom power socket - though I did that and fortunately didn't damage it. It should work if you plug it into a USB socket via the USB adapter provided, assuming your device has enough welly to give it the 10V needed. I got it to work very well like that, plugged into the USB socket of a PC. Other cases, I would suggest Google is your friend to obtain advice as to what you can plug a Lavalier microphone into. I didn't realise this when I bought it. I tried all sorts of adaptors, but in the end I had to go and buy a standard condenser mike for the purpose I had in mind, which was to plug it into an audio system.

Q: Does this work with Xbox?

I would imagine so. It has the same jack that you insert into a smartphone. You can also insert this into an adaptor to work on modern iPhones.
