This is my third magnifier/reader—no more batteries to manage. It charges through a connected HDMI port and a "C" plug. It is light, sturdy, and foldable, offering three different lighting options. I have macular degeneration and need lighting assistance to read without difficulty. This is the one, and I would recommend it to others without any hesitation. Excellent magnifier, even better than the last one we bought from the same company! It works great for my husband who has vision issues and I even use it to read tiny print. Bought this one to have one in each room where he reads.

In order to read with my macular degeneration I need a bright light, high magnification, and light weight magnifying glass. So far I have purchased four different magnifying glasses. This one has the brightest light and is the lightest weight. The shape of this glass is good for reading.. I like not having to buy batteries and the time to recharge is pretty quick. I have two downsides. The button to turn the light on is positioned on the handle so I am always turning it on or off. Also, the acrylic lense is very easily scratched. This has become my most used glass for now. If they offered a 10X I would get it. The lense issue of scratching is solved by just being aware and being careful.

I bought a different magnifying glass that took batteries. I paint by number a lot! The other glass needed batteries every few days. This product is great! It holds a charge for days and you can just plug it in and recharge. It’s got several different lighting choices so that you can get what’s just right for you! I use this everyday and so far it’s held up well and works great! Highly recommend for all you paint by number peeps out there!
