I bought this for my iPad Pro so I could attach devices and hard drives. Many of the cons to this device are not actually the fault of the manufacturer but problems with IOS.First, know this before you buy... Transfer speeds are excruciatingly slow between an external device and IOS. Again, this is not likely the result of the dongle as I’ve seen this complaint with IOS in general, but this dongle does NOT offer anything to accelerate the process. Honestly I’m not even confident that the dongle is USB 3.1 certified. I would doubt it.Second, the dongle does not have a power supply or outlet. Since dongles use the power outlet on the iPad to connect most include a second power outlet on the dongle itself so you can use devices and charge the IPad. This can also speed up transfers because you are not relying solely on battery. Unfortunately this dongle lacks a way to charge the IPad, meaning you either use the dongle or you take it out and charge the device.Third, and lastly, this dongle does not have a magnet nor is it designed to fit onto the ipad. Instead the dongle just hangs off the ipad. Unfortunately the dongle cord is not long enough to even sit evenly on a table. You will always be hanging from the ipad. This cannot be good for the outlet long term.If you can get past these cons then BUY the device. I use it for quick transfers only and so it meets my needs. BUT if you need to have external devices connected to your IPad at all times DO NOT BUY THIS DONGLE.

works fine. computer recognizes the cards when you input them. chord is a little short for a desktop computer but great for a lap top

I recently upgraded my laptop and found unfortunately it has no extra ports for all the gadgets my other laptop could handle. I researched a bunch of adapters and this one had a lot of great reviews. I ordered it and the price was reasonable. When I received it in the mail I was so happy at how tiny it was and lightweight. One thing I did research on and was glad to discover is that some of the adapters have the entire unit plug directly into the usb-c port. the only problem with that is often the computer cases aren't compatible with the adapters then and you have to turn them backwards to fit. I didn't want that problem so having this one that has a wire that connects to the port and then the adapter gives it much more accessibility without any issues. It slides neatly into the side of my carrying case. I have had zero issues with the functionality of it. All my plug ins work perfectly. I highly recommend this item!

Recently, I bought a mouse to go with my Macbook Pro (2019) because I'm constantly on it and the trackpad gets a bit tiring. I felt foolish when the mouse arrived with a USB dongle and no USB port to connect it to! The newer Macbook Pros are quite limiting in that way. I went on Amazon to look for a simple USB connector that would go into my thunderbolt 3 opening. After much research, I realized that I could get one hub to connect more than just a USB (like an SD card and HDMI cable). ALSO learned that many of these connector hubs malfunction (get burning hot, interfere with internet connection - usually the aluminum/metallic products, etc) so I did some more research and finally chose this Syntech product. So far, it's been working perfectly. It's lightweight, clean-looking, and functional. PLUS, the item comes with warranty registration and contact info for the brand's customer service. Syntech definitely seems to value customer satisfaction and I appreciate that above all else. THUMBS UP FOR THIS PURCHASE!

The media could not be loaded.  This usb c hub has 5 ports - Two USB-A ports, an SD card and a microSD card port, an HDMI port. I have tested all the ports and everything goes well: USB 3.0 and SD/microSD at full speed, video transferring through HDMI working great. I have gone through a number of USB C dongles/cables which disturbed the Wifi connection once in a while. This one has no problem. They really made sonmething.It is sleek looking and lightweight but appears to be solidly built. The length of the cable is about 6" and all ports are really good fitting--not too loose or too tight. Data transfer speeds appear to be in line with other products (not that I have a way to test other than moving a file from one location to another). It looks great as its overall appearance is very premium with the slim body and curvy design.Overall this hub works flawlessly. The appearance is unique and remarkable. I like it.

I'm using this on my Dell XPS 9380. While this is a great laptop, probably one of the best on the market at the moment, it doesn't have legacy USB-A interfaces on it. I bought this hub so that I could plug in USB flash drives, a wireless mouse, etc. in a pinch and it's been pretty great. Very small, lightweight, and well built so it's perfect for business travel. I didn't think I would need the card reader capabilities, but they've ended up coming in handy. The HDMI port has come in extremely handy when going to locations and needing to display content - don't need to carry any other video or port adapters, just this thing.Given the low price, functionality, and build quality I'd recommend this hub to anyone looking for a travel USB C hub that does everything while being compact and lightweight.

Performs the task for which it was purchased: adding extra functionality to a MacBook Pro with only USB-C connections. The only thing that saves this from bring a five-star review is that it seats in the port slightly loosely, and occasionally needs to be adjusted to remain connected. Otherwise, it dutifully adds back in all the port types Apple decided to deprive their users of in order to sell them expensive proprietary dongles that will let them use 90% of available computer accessories (thumb drives, third-party monitors, external peripherals, etc.).

Adapter wie auf dem Foto, sehr leicht. Kabellänge für meine Benutzung ausreichend. Adapter tut was er soll. Habe ihn bis jetzt mit externen Festplatten und Foto SD Karten ausprobiert. Alles wunderbar. TippiToppi

Ich habe den USB Hub mit einem MacBook Air M1 ausprobiert. Mir ging es vor allem darum, dass der Strombedarf üblicher Geräte an den USB Anschlüssen gedeckt wird. Andere Hubs unterstützen nur 500 mA, und dies auch nicht immer zuverlässig. Dieser hier liefert 1000 mA. Damit läuft ein zwar nur mit 200 mA angegebener, in der Realität aber vom Strombedarf recht wählerischer SmartCard Reader (Reiner SCT cyberjack RFID) und eine externe, 2,5 Zoll Toshiba Festplatte (HDD), die in der Systeminfo des Mac mit einem Strombedarf von 996 mA angegeben ist. Ob der Hub lange hält, weiß ich noch nicht. Ich habe ihn für unterwegs gekauft und werde ihn nicht oft verwenden, da mein Computer hautpsächlich stationär an einem USB-C Monitor mit Hub hängt.

Schnelle Lieferung, hat alles drauf was man für den normalen Büro- bzw. Uni-Alltag braucht.Leider kann man das iPad via USB-Port leider nicht laden, weiß aber nicht ob das am Gerät liegt oder ob es allgemein am MacBook Pro M1 liegt. - iPhone laden ist kein Problem.

Ich habe mir den USB-Hub gekauft, damit ich meine wichtigsten Arbeits-Unterlagen immer mit auf Dienstreise mitnehmen kann. Das Teil ist wirklich praktisch. Es tut was es soll. Ich möchte es nicht mehr missen. Den Punkt Abzug gibt es, weil es leider ein fieser Akkufresser ist. Wenn man nicht daran denkt, den Hub zu deaktivieren, ist mal ganz nebenbei ruckzuck der Handyakku leer.

Ich habe mittlerweile alle Funktionen ausprobiert und gebraucht und bin sehr zufrieden. Gute Haptik, schönes & edles Design, einwandfreie Funktionalität. Kabel halten optimal in den Buchsen, somit stabile Verbindung. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Kabel steht in einem rechten Winkel vom Gerät ab (wie auf den Bildern ersichtlich), weshalb weiß ich nicht, eventuell liegt es ganz einfach an der Steifheit des Kabels, solange man es nicht unter Kraftaufwendung verbiegt, dient dies aber meiner Erwartung nach der Lebensdauer des Adapters, da es vor Knicken geschützt ist.Rundherum empfehlenswert.
