Best money I've spent in years
I'm a 20 year old college student, and I've been looking for a n inexpensive projector for some time now. Got this one for around $100 and couldn't be happier! Best $100 I've spent in years. I worked in IT at my high school and dealt with a lot of projectors from throughout the school system; all of which were high end, and made to stand up to a very well lit class room. I knew any projector for this price wasn't going to be like that, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one.I've had it almost a year now, and used it MANY times. I have let it run for 5+ hours straight through many times, never having any problems. It does have a built in fan, which keeps it cool pretty well, and isn't too loud (by this I mean, while I was siting with in 3 feet of it watching a movie, it never bothered me). That being said, I ALWAYS use an external speaker with it. The build in speaker is subpar, not great for an audience of more than about two people, and can be drowned out by any other noises you have going on (like an air conditioner in the room, microwave, ect.) In my opinion the build in speaker was what I was expecting for a projector of this cost.It has a 3.55mm jack outlet (headphone jack) on the projector, and an HDMI port, and a USB port (and maybe some other stuff I'm not remembering, but those are what I've used). I've connected it to my laptop, PS3, and Apple TV using the HDMI and had absolutely no problems getting the picture up and going. It does have a remote that has worked well for me, and with that you cause choose what input you want the projector to show off of (HDMI, or USB are what I have tested). The remote also turns the projector on/off from a distance, which would be nice if you wanted to place the projector high up and leave it there. I've put movies on my USB and plugged it directly into the projector, and was quickly able to show a movie off of it directly, which is super convenient for outdoor parties.I have plugged both my Bose Sound Link and my Harman Kardon SoundSticks II into this projector and been very pleased with the sound quality that comes from it. I also often plug my speaker directly into the source (like my laptop), and then just mute the projector. Either way works the same as far as I've noticed.I bought this to have a BIG SCREEN while playing video games, watching movies, ect. It has been PERFECT for my needs. I've taken up the screen to a very large size, and only started to see a quality difference at about 8+ feet (diagonal). Meaning to say, you can get this very large and still be happy with the quality. That being said, this is not a high end projector. It's not HD. For the cost of the projector I've been very pleased with the picture quality though. If you keystone the image a lot then I've noticed some blurring on the outer edges, but the than that it's consistent. I've projected it on a white sheet outdoors (after dark), and on a slightly off white wall in my apartment, and been pleased with the color saturation and clarity both times. I haven't had any trouble getting it in focus. It can stand up to some light; I've had the a small lamp on in the room before, or it's been dusk outside with the windows open, and been able to see it fine. I haven't tried to read substantial amounts of text on the screen (other than subtitles occasionally), but have been able to see the words on my video games just fine. When it's dark in the room this projector looks great in my opinion. My favorite thing to do on this projector is blow it up HUGE on my apartment wall and play Mortal Kombat with some friends. It's a ton of fun seeing a video game that big, and I would highly recommend this for any student or parent on a budget. I think it would work great for a kids play room where they like to watch movies sometimes, but maybe you don't want a big TV on the wall. It came packaged well in the box, with room for the projector and the power cable/remote, so I often pack it back into it's box and take it with me to a party or whatnot. It's easy to set up. I've watched movies outside on it with my family at night. Anyone who's used it with me, family and friends alike, have mentioned how fun it is. It makes a statement when you walk into the room and see a screen that big, and people usually get more into the movie or whatever you're doing. I think just the fact that it's a projection instead of a TV even brings some nostalgia, or the feeling that it's a special treat. The photo I'm attaching was taken the first day I got it. Projected on a pastel green wall (because that was what I had access to), in a completely dark room. The screen size here is about 5 feet diagonal. This was attached to my laptop through an off brand HDMI cable, streaming from Netflix.

Good for short distances
I bought this instead of a TV for my dorm room. I needed it to sit behind my couch(about 12ft), and be plugged into my computer via hdmi. It gets 3-stars because the resolution greatly decreases after 5ft. I plan on using a projector for schoolwork, as well as entertainment, and I could not read out lettering on the screen. I was able to watch a movie with friends, but the resolution was still pretty bad. I ended up sending it back because of this problem. If you can set the projector 5ft away from the screen, I think you will be greatly satisfied with this projectorPros: Very lightLooks goodFan wasn't too loudPrice was greatCons: Resolution is greatly decreased with distancecolor adjustment was very hard to figure out and wasn't very goodfocusing knob wasn't very helpful

Great bang for your buck!
This projector is pretty great! I connected it to a computer, then to an Apple TV and it works pretty impressively! Even at a distance of under ten feet, the picture is very large. Because of the optical keystoning, it can be hard to get the whole picture in focus, but remember that this costs less than half of many incompetent projectors. If you are going to watch a movie, I would recommend connecting a good set of speakers, even just computer speakers, so that you can feel the sound a bit more. Some projectors have pretty loud fans, but this fan is a non factor. It blends into the background quickly and isn't a distraction. One word of caution, this is only meant to work in the dark. in a room with some light, you will lose quite a bit of detail. That is not to say that you can't use it during the day, but projecting onto a wall by a window at noon will give you an unviewable picture. At the end of the day, it comes down to price. You can get this projector and cables to connect it to anything under the sun for less than a hundred dollars shipped to you in two days. Add six dollars and it arrives in one day.If you are looking for something to project movies and have computer speakers lying around, I think the choice should be pretty easy.PROS- Price- Small size- Lack of unnecessary features- Quiet fan- 1080p, HDMI and audio jack connectorsCONS- Not very bright- Limited picture adjustment
