Perri's Padded Leather Dog Collars in Metallic and Bold Non-Metallic Colors

I got this collar for our Bernese Mountain dog when he was 7 months old. He is just over 3 years old and still has the same collar. It is stiff when you first get it, but with it being leather it will soften. Quality hardware and still looks great although a little dirty. Sizing is a little large, but Henry grew into it nicely. Ordering another today for our Great Pyrenees. This is the best collar we've ever had for any dog. Usually we'll go through several, but for over 2 years to still have this one is amazing!!

This is a really beautiful little collar for my (about 20#) black w. brindle short-haired dog. It's a bright, pretty flash of copper color on my little girl dog who is not at all a girly-type pup. It's perfect, pretty, classy and well-made. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The small fits her with 3 holes to spare on her 12 1/2" neck with not too much collar sticking out past the loop which holds the end of it in line with the rest of the collar. It seems that the measurement/sizing of dog collars is not particularly standardized, and I have already purchased one that was too small for her, so I was relieved when this collar fit so nicely. Highly recommended. I will update in the future regarding how it wears over time.10/29/15: Update: It remains every bit as beautiful, virtually unchanged by three months of wear. The copper metallic trim remains bright and beautiful. It's perfect. I needed something for her that had a metal buckle because she somehow manages to chew on them. The plastic ones don't last at all with her and I usually have to cut them off R/T mangled buckles. This is a great collar. I fully expect now that she's full-grown, that it will last for years.7/2/16: Update: This collar is awesome. It reminds me of the very utilitarian ones we used to get for the dog-buddies of my youth, which lasted for years. This one remains beautiful, highly functional and basically unchanged over the months of use. The upfront cost is relatively high, but it has already saved me money and shows little to no deterioration. Sometimes cheap is just a waste. This collar reflects pride in beautiful workmanship and real value. SO rare now!

This product is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. I have husky/lab girls (two sisters) who had chewed through their previous leather collars bought at a chain pet store. We paid about $15 for those, and these were only about $24 each. Not a huge price jump. However the quality of these collars far surpasses that of the retail equivalent.The collar is a fine leather, beautifully crafted into a sturdy dog collar. The pink leather padding is a beautiful color and provides a nice cushion for our dogs' necks. The collars have already lasted longer than our dogs' previous collars. The clasp is very sturdy and shiny, with the leash-loop large enough for us to find, even in our girls' puffy hair.We got one Havana (brown) leather/pink padding collar and one black leather/pink padding collar for each girl (as our girls are black and brown). We've received many compliments and the bright pink padding makes spotting the collars on our girls easy. This is a nice feature, as other leather collars can blend in and when it comes time for a walk or to check if they've Houdini-ed their way out of their collars, it was a struggle to find it within the fur. Now, I just take a peek outside and I can spot the collar right away.This is a purchase I do not regret and I would be proud and smart to buy this collar again. I will never use a different collar for any of my dogs and hope that this product is always carried by Amazon. Truly quality you can feel and see.

The collar appears extremely well made. In fact I have not seen leather this well made in any place other than a specialty store for ranch animals.The point for me was to buy a collar that would hold up well, in a color that would be bright and visible without having to buy a nylon collar. This is the first collar seller I've found that provided that. We were originally going to order the lime green. But, on insistence by the resident boss (Toddler), our dog is a girl and girls like pink, so I ordered the pink/black. The image shows a bright hot pink.That being said, on arrival the COLOR of the collar was not at all as expected. It looks like a very muted maroon color... in fact it matches the collar classified as "red" on the seller's web page more so than the pink as pictured. A bit misleading. It makes me wonder what that vibrant lime green color would have looked like. Upon opening the package from amazon, toddler proclaimed, "Hey!! That's not pink!".If you are purchasing these with a color matching ideal, don't. They don't match the images online.As to the durability of this item, will update as she wears it.If this was from a store, I would probably return it and pick out a different color. I would rather have all black, or a blue of some kind than this muted salmony color collar that we have. However, it isn't worth the hassle of returning and waiting on getting a different color, especially with how well made the collar appears to be.The quality of the leather collar and workmanship surpassed expectation. The holes punched within the leather are oblong, uniform, and easy to insert the post through. Not like a lot of leather collars that have a simple hole you have to line up and push through. The stitching is heavy, and should last quite awhile even with other dogs tearing at the collar at the dog park. The leather is thick, and stiff, not a flimsy strap. The hardware on the collar even went a step further than any store bought collar I've purchased thus far, leather or otherwise and included a separate leather strap to hold the excess leather down to keep the dog from chewing the end, whereas most collars only use the D-ring. The bar the strap gets inserted through before you put the post in has a roller on it to help feed the leather through the ring. Beautifully designed, very impressive workmanship.

The collar itself is really nice, good quality and true to the photos. I followed the measurement and got a small and not even using the last hole, there is soooooo much extra length and it just awkwardly sticks out. There is no metal loop to tuck it into like other collars or like a pant loop does for a belt buckle. So now there’s inches of a strap just sticking out, looks really odd and messy.

This collar is great. It is my second time buying one of these and the first has lasted for over 5 years and still looks fairly new.The colour of the padding will fade a bit over time, but not by much considering what it all goes through.I would absolutely purchase again, although I may not need to because the 2 I have are lasting so well.

For the price I wasn't expecting the collar to be as good as it is!! My dog looks great and the quality is brilliant!
