Size up, but so worth it!
I sized up based on other reviews and so glad I did. My son is 14 months old, and about 22 lbs and 29 or 30 inches, he typically is in 12-18 month clothes. I bought the 24 month size and it fit just right. It does NOT really have any stretch to it, except in the suspenders. The pants fit pretty well around the waist but the bottoms of the legs were a tad snug. He doesn't have skinny legs at all, but they aren't crazy chunky either. If your kiddo has thick legs go up an extra size or look for something else. The pictures I have aren't great because he was tired, but he looked SO cute at the Roaring 20s themed dinner we went to. He was definitely the center of attention. I bought this and 2 other outfits to see what worked best. The others were more of a jumpsuit/romper style with the outfit kind of printed onto it. If you're looking for something more comfortable for your child that's probably the way to go. This outfit seemed more "authentic" and was actual dress clothes. We took one of the other outfits as a backup (because, toddlers) but he looked much cuter in this one and ended up wearing it all night. I don't think this one is returnable, so make sure you read reviews to find the right size before purchasing!

Cute Outfit, definitely buy 1 or 2 sizes up.
I just got this outfit for my 17 month old son in size 3T and it is adorable. He is 50th percentile in weight and 75th percentile in height and typically he wears 18 month size clothing. I debated for quite awhile on what size to get him, but decided I would rather it be a bit big than a bit small, especially since the event he will be wearing this for is not for another 2 months, though I tried it on him today. The 2T would probably have fit him perfectly now without much growing room. The 3T is a bit big on him but is small enough that he can wear it now with some room to grow, so I am definitely glad that I got the size that I did. It fits him like most 24 m or 2T clothing. The pants are a bit loose around the waist, but are tight enough that they stay up without the suspenders, considering he can still wear 12 m size pants, I am guessing this outfit would be a bit tight on a chunkier child. The arms on the shirt are just slightly too long.

Super cute but somewhat small
I ordered this outfit for my 14 month old to wear to his father's Marine Corps retirement ceremony in November. I was very excited to get it so quickly as we live overseas, but not as excited to find the size runs somewhat small. My little guy is smaller for his age and is just starting to fit into 12 month clothing. I assumed by purchasing the 18 month outfit it would give him some growing room to catch up on. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that will happen but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The material is a little thinner than I anticipated. It will be fine for our sub tropical climate but I wouldn't recommend it for fall/winter months back in the states. The material of the knickers and cap is similar to the thin suiting cloth you find at a local fabric store. The shirt material also is thin that is 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The only washing instructions are located on the shirt stating machine washable and tumble dry low. Apparently this goes for the knickers and cap also. The suspenders included are sub par though. They are a very thin and cheaply purchasable jacquard ribbon. They snag very easily on the hardware pulling the threads. That can be fixed for a short time by taking a sewing needle and pulling the thread back through. After a while it will no longer work and you might have to replace them with a heavier gauge suspender or ribbon.I took some measurements of the outfit to try and help others out before they purchase.Shirt: (from back neckline to back hemline)12 inchesNeck:10 inchesArm: (from shoulder seam to cuff end)9.5 inchesKnickers:Waist:16 inches (at rest)20 inches (at full extension)Leg: (from waist line to cuff end)12 inchesLeg Cuff:8 inchesCap:18 inches (at rest)20 inches (at full extension)Bowtie:3.5 inches in length2 inches in widthI hope this helps any others that are looking to purchase this outfit. Please keep in mind that I am giving this item 4 out of 5 stars only for the above stated reasons. I still love seeing my little guy in it and I'm looking forward to seeing him stand next to his dad in November!

This outfit is super cute! My grandson looks great in it
This outfit is super cute! My grandson looks great in it. It does fit quite small, but I knew that ahead of time from reading previous reviews. My grandson is small and currently wears a 24 month or 2T, but after reading reviews & seeing that it ran really small, I ordered a 3T and it fits quite well! The sleeves are just a little bit long, but not bad, and other than that it fits really well with a little room so he can wear it now and for awhile. There's no way the 2T would've worked for him. I would recommend that you buy At Least one size up. - Really nice outfit, cute suspenders, hat and bowtie. Seems like real good quality, too! Very pleased!

This outfit is super cute. The reviews are correct
This outfit is super cute. The reviews are correct, order up a size. The suspenders are a bit flimsy but I just got them adjusted to the size I needed and tacked them with a small stitch. the shirt was a little on the slim side. I could have probably gotten away with a 4t but I ordered a 3t. My son is stocky. he is 31lbs and 2 years old. I was not able to use the bow tie as the shirt was too tight at the collar to button but it didn't change the look I was going for. Everyone just fell out over his pictures!
