Great buy! 100% worked perfectly
I've been using Memorex DVD+R 16x discs for about 6-7 years now and although they are concidered to be a lower quality of DVD out there in the market place I have to say I've never had much problems with them. I've burned well over 600 of these DVD-R's and I have only had 3-4 failures which is a very small amount considering the numbers and the price of these discs.Overall I am 100% pleased with these discs and will definately continue to purchase them as they work perfectly for my situation. I also use them to burn Game Development Software that I created and ship the DVD to customers that purchase my software. I have never been contacted by a customer that couldn't use the DVD+R so they are highly compatible with other DVD drives.I've used them on a ASUS Server PC burning DVD Videos, and Data discs. I've used them on my Toshiba Laptop to burn DVD Videos and Data discs. Finally I've just stated using them with my Acer Aspire One AO725-0899 to burn data and backup discs and they have worked perfectly with my 3 systems.I have discs that I've burned 6-7 years back and they still work 100% in all of the various PC based systems that I've upgraded to over the years, so they are very compatible with other systems and not just limited to the system that they were burned on.

Great Blank DVD's
These are probably the best inexpensive DVD's you can buy. I have used about 400 of them so far. Maybe 1 at the most out of every 100 pack is "bad", IF THAT. I pop these in and my computer immediately recognizes them and burns quick. I've tried several other brands, and the computer takes longer to recognize and they all have a higher percentage of bad discs in the batch. And the front of these discs are basically plain, with just a very small memorex logo and "dvd+r" written. That may not matter much to some people, but i hate when my back ups look like blank dvds with brand names and writing all over them. These are just plain simple discs that work 99% of the time or more. They come in a pretty solid plastic spindle that you can keep for storing your backups if necessary too. I've burned probably 800+ dvds, and these are my first choice, you cant beat the combination of price and quality.

The Discs are great but this Amazon.com listing is flawed
I ordered these on 2 August 2009. The shipping price listed on the page is $4.99. I ordered several items at the same time, and because this item is not coming directly from Amazon itself but another vendor, I did not get to see the individual shipping prices. When placing your order you are presented with three shipping options for this item from this vender:1-day which costs $26.232-day which costs $20.731-3 Day expedited $17.73I WOULD NEVER have ordered something for $27 and paid an addition $17.73 to get it at the SLOWEST shipping method possible!!! I believe either the vendor should offer the shipping option of $4.99 listed on the page or the shipping fee listed on the page should be updated. For this price, I could have purchased them locally and SAVED money! I didn't need them that fast, I had ordered in sufficient time that media mail would have been fast enough. That said, beware of the shipping fees listed and understand when computing your price that you will end up paying significantly more than that to get them (but they do ship quick).I have used Memorex DVDs and CDs exclusively for years and have had only 1-3 disc issues (but with DL not with single layers).Memorex must have corrected whatever their problem was with the older reviews.

2 different computers 3 burners 4 years and thousands of disks
I LOVE THESE!!! I have been using these exact disks exclusively for over 4 years now and never had a problem. My Dell Inspiron gave up the ghost about a year and a half ago, but before it did the burner went out so I bought an external one a Gear Head Mobile Slim. I have since upgraded my laptop to a Toshiba Satellite. When I burn disks this series of DVD+Rs by Memorex are what I exclusively use. I have been through Literally thousands of these and never had a problem in any of my burners beyond the occasional 1 or 2 out of a spindle of hundred failing. most of the time I know it's from user error like me accidentally bumping the desk to hard while it's burning or something of that nature.I love these disks and it took me a very long time to decide to order them online because I thought that all the problems other reviewers were having with these may be caused by something to do with the way they were being stored by the online retailers. I have always purchased them in large quantities about 3-500 at a time when they are on sale but I haven't found them on sale in months. So, my stockpile was drastically low and I'm not about to pay full price for them. I broke down and ordered them here because it's the cheapest I could find them. I am half way through my first spindle now and haven't had a single failure. Mine were packaged kind of crappy to where one of the spindles broke in shipping and some of the disks got scratched up so. Disappointing, but only a few. I started with the ones that were scratched and not a single problem. I honestly don't understand all the problems everyone is having with these. As far as these not storing well / having a horrible shelf life, after I read that I went back to some of my oldest disks that are about 3.5 years old seriously worried that they might not work. They are just as flawless as they ever were when I burned them.Again I have never had a problem with these not working these are the best I've ever used all be it I haven't tried that many different kinds but I also don't see a reason to when I get such good use out of these.
