DAN SPEED 1-1/2" NPT Female 316 Stainless Steel Full Port Ball Valve

Easy to thread onto other pipe without any leakage. But the valve itself leaks badly. I used it at the end of a fire hose hookup with a cap on it so the leak was stopped by the cap. So not really a problem for my setup but would not work for a situation where you would need to depend on the valve for complete shut off of water. I think the valve I received was possibly just a rare defective valve but like I said, it worked for my situation. Edit: I'm now giving this valve 5 stars. I removed the handle and rotated the valve several times. There must have been something caught up in the valve. I did not flush the line to clear any debris that may have been in the line as suggested in installation instructions. My fault for being in a hurry. The valve works perfectly!

These valves are a great value! The threads are nicely cut and worked great in my application. Not sure if the tapper is standard but I would recommend any product from this seller as I have bought a half a dozen valves of different sizes and all are fine. This is a good seller!!

Cheaper than brass. Does the same thing

Bought these to install as drains on the bottom of some 500 gallon tanks. Used proper thread sealant and torque to install. These valves both leaked at the ball as well as the joint on the fitting. There was no remedy for the situation but to remove them. They might work for something not overly critical but I would not waste the money. Threads are oversized and they failed for me as soon as my tanks were filled. Spend the money and buy a quality fitting.

The valve is very stiff and hard to turn. If my wife had to shut it off she would have a very hard time doing so. I tried to heat it up with a torch and its still very very hard to close off completely.

i needed a valve i could leave in place for a drain rather than removing a cap that gets lost frequently. i got 2 of these. they are solid and work great.
