The crane mounted easily and worked for the first month. The jack quit working and I asked Amazon for help. Nothing. Nothing from the company either. The thing sits in my garage waiting word from the manufacturer on how to fix the jack.

It came quickly than expected ... and was what I ordered ... Have used it to load and unload my generator for my camp trailer ... Works well ... only thing I needed to do was reinforce the area on the truck bed, and that entailed a little modification on the brackets ... but all went well ... Would highly recommend this for anyone that needs a lift ... Oh ... BTW ... I have a camper shell on my truck as well ... and I Have no problems with the two ... Plenty of clearance

I used my crane to remove my fifth wheel hitch from the back of my truck. This allows me full access to the bed of my truck. The hitch weighs about 160 pounds and is a real task to remove and replace. It usually require 2 men to remove it. I wanted a way of removing and replacing it that did not require 2 people. Not to mention saving the strain on our backs. I was able to successfully remove it and place on a cart to complete the transfer. No back straining. Well worth the investment.

I gave this a 3 star because even though it seems to be quality built, the installation instructions leave a great deal to be desired. In the above picture it shows the unit set next to the truck bed wall behind the wheel well. It states in the instruction it should be bolted down to the truck frame and not the bed. There isn't a truck made that has any of the frame in the pictured location. All trucks manufactured have the main frame running the length of the truck inside the edge of the wheel wells nowhere near this pictured location which is the best position to have it away from the main loading area of the bed. To mount it there you need to do a great deal of addition work to manufacture a mounting system to tie it to the frame and place it in the pictured location. I think the manufacture has never actually placed one in a truck bed to see problem with the location.
