Flavorful, meaty, good price - But eye roll about "uncured"
My recommendation will probably fluctuate a lot as the price of this fluctuates, so take that into consideration. I'd been buying the "black" Hormel precooked bacon in the big huge packages and those got really expensive. I was surprised to see this cost less, and I do prefer the more natural cured meats, so I ordered it instead. I was pleased to find that the bacon also tastes better and is less fatty and more meaty. I like that this precooked bacon is thicker and "dryer" if you know what I mean, than cheaper brands. The thing about "uncured" though, and this is consistent with allllllll the "uncured" things, is that it is cured. The fact that the US FDA is a bunch of whores and lets companies label something "uncured" or "nitrate free" when it's "asterisk-except the nitrates in celery juice" is ... well, SO American I guess. It's got a ton of nitrates in it, they just happen to come from celery or cherry juice, which makes us feel like we're being healthy when we're really not buying something that's very different than traditionally cured products. It's not that Hormel is lying, it's that American consumers ask so little of our FDA and USDA and don't demand EU-level food labeling and ingredient standards. Allllllll the bacon, sausage, lunchmeat labeled "uncured" has this same "lie", so don't ding the specific company about it. Bacon is not a health food, you know that, just suck it up and enjoy it in moderation (and stay away from turkey bacon - that's not even food!).

Not Bad But...
It is well cooked and tastes prettty good but is just SO salty! One solution for me this a.m. was to eat it with several unsalted items: potato, egg, onion & tomato. Kinda alternated the mouthfuls with it. Worked well.

Good for price and for microwaveable bacon
Great for quick bacon . I like crispy almost over cooked bacon . 1 min 45sec in my microwave and it’s perfect . Let sit and it crumbles perfect for baked potato topping , BLT (if you like crispy) salads etc otherwise 1min 25sec is perfect non crumbling strips .

good bacon
The pre-cooked bacon is great. I use it for blts. I am not a fan of cooking bacon,i think it's messy. The hormel brand is great. The amazon price is the same or less than local stores. I will buy it again.
