K&S 16404 Brass Sheet, 0.016" Thick x 6" Wide x 12" Long, 1 Piece, Made in The USA

These brass sheets worked PERFECTLY for my project!! I needed to FOLD THEM into a (U-shape) to fit on the edges of wooden panels as "Brass trim". The only thing is - They are TOUGH!! lol.. I didn't think such a thin brass sheet would be that hard to bend, but yeah those things put up a fight! I was going to get an even thinner sheet but it was almost double the cost of these, so I hung in there with them and I'm glad I did. They're BEAUTIFUL, TOUGH, and WILL NOT let go or loose their shape once you get them formed how you want them. I even ordered ANOTHER sheet (adding to my previous 3) in order to finish off the project.

Was Bent the first time. But instantly was sent a new one with no defects.

The description must have changed before I ordered - nowhere does it say anything about "3 sheets per car". And I'm pretty certain it is solid brass, not plated copper as mentioned in some of the other questions/reviews. Packaging wasn't the best, but mine did arrive in near perfect condition - no hard bends or major scars. 2nd purchase - 3 years later: K&S Percision Metals 16409 Brass Sheet Metal Rack, 0.064" Thickness x 6" Width x 12" Length, 14 gauge. Ordered a thicker sheet this time, and again, dimensions are exactly as advertised (measured 0.063" thick with the same Mitutoyo caliper). I still see recent complaints about expecting "3 sheets". And, I still can't see anything in the description that would lead me to believe 3 sheets were being offered. Packaging was good enough. The sheet itself was bubble wrapped then placed in an envelope which was also lined with bubble wrap. As before, it arrived in near perfect condition.

Perfect for my knife build project

It's brass, and it came in a sheet. My two sets came from two different sellers, if I remember right. One came perfectly preserved, while the other had a decent bend to it in the middle (about 5 degrees). For me, this was not a problem as I was machining down small parts (largest dimension on one was 10mm wide). If you really needed immaculate swaths of brass, maybe get a few sheets to be safe. More importantly than anything else, there was no noticeable corrosion or substantial oxidation on the brass. The gauge was consistent and uniform, and the edges were extremely precise, and the surface was free from any scratches or nicks. From an engineering standpoint, this is completely unexceptional metal stock, which is pretty much exactly what you want from sheet metal - no surprises.

It worked out great. I needed to make a part. What a Godsend.
