KONG Teddy Bear Dog Toy, Medium, Brown

Bought this for my yorkies. They are barely 5 and 5.5 lbs. Normally, KONG toys are my go to dependable and durable brand. I usually recommend them highly to the dog people who ask me which toys I think are best. This bear didn't last as long as other KONG teddy bears we have purchased in the past. My younger dog had it eaten in about 2 days. The bottom half is missing. He IS rough on toys. His favorite is a KONG frisbee that is nearly indestructible. He loves to fetch. He loves to chew. He is in love and it is holding up great. His mother is easier on toys and she had the same KONG bear for years without destroying it. The original bear has survived the younger dog too and is still kicking around. I was a bit surprised that this new one is going in the trash already. The materials do seem a bit different. Have the standards dropped a little? At least there wasn't stuffing all over the place when it got destroyed. Maybe I just got a dud. I only got one. With a sample size of 1, I'll suspend judgement. Next time I'll order a few of them and see if it was just one poorly assembled bear or if they KONG standard has slipped.

Very small but held up longer than any other toy. Dachshund puppy was able to get toy open so squeaker doesn't stay inside. Would still recommend.

This toy is advertised as being indestructible. My significant other says, "Time will tell." But I say, after watching my five-pound Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican hairless)go nuts with this toy, that I think the only problem will be when the toy needs to be washed and line-dried. I think my dog will be depressed until he gets his little"victim" back again.Squeak, squeak, squeak. My dog likes the second squeaker SO MUCH (it goes inside the toy's body, with industrial-type velcro to seal it in), that when I took outthe squeaker, my "Mi-T" dog went nutso, trying to find the darned thing. I mean, he really, really, REALLY wanted that squeaker----bad! I think he would havespent hours chewing on the squeaker itself, if I had let him have his way.I love that this toy is soft, oh-so soft. And it is significantly light-weight (no stuffing). It is PERFECT. I highly recommend this toy for small and larger dogs, too. Buy onetoday, if you have a dog that loves toys. Just be prepared for non-stop squeaking. You can always take out the second squeaker and hide it. Good luck with that.UPDATE: It took him months and months of daily chewing, but my little dog finally chewed the end off the bear's nose. Sigh. I have recommended this toy to lots of dog-owning friends. It's a great toy!

This toy is adorable. It's the perfect size for my 8 1/2 lbs., petite chihuahua. We had her in our family for nearly a week before she had any toys. When this arrived she was so excited. I like that the squeaker can come out so the toy can be easily washed. I like that there's an extra squeaker. The tags need to be ripped off right away or it'll be a choking hazard, since they can be easily torn off by sharp dog teeth.I don't like how easily the Velcro backing for the squeaker opens. My dog has almost gotten it open a couple of times since we received it, two days ago.*Update*It's been about three months since we got this toy. It is by far my dog's favorite! (Especially at sleep time- what a brat) Today I finally had to switch out the squeaker. The Velcro closure ended up not being a problem at all. From all the squeezing it ended up so securely closed, that it was even a bit difficult to open today. The mouth and one of the ears has been mangled a little. Again, this toy is my dog's absolute favorite!

Last fall I adopted another rescue dog, Joey. At Christmas last year, my sister bought several gifts for Joey, one being the Kong Teddy Bear Toy. Well, good luck ever trying to get Joey's bear away from him. He just took to that little bear immediately, and he keeps it with him, puts the bear in my slippers for a nap and he brings me his bear so I can squeak it for him. I have had dogs all my life and I have never seen any of my pets get so attached to a toy. He does have other toys, but the bear is his favorite. You can imagine what the bear looks like now!! It still is in good enough condition for him to play with it. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find another bear like the one he has. When I saw the Kong bear for sale at Amazon, I immediately ordered two. I gave him one of new bears and put the other new one away. He looks at the new bear, but still takes the old bear everywhere with him. Also, the bear has been machine washed many, many times and it has held up beautifully. Joey and I love our bear and highly recommend it for any pet owner. Joey is a small dog, under 9 pounds, so I feel the bear should only be used by a small dog.

my small Shi Tsu mix loves these!! i started with one bear, it became his favorite toy instantly as he can easily carry it around. when he started to finally rip it open i already had more on order (thank goodness), i had ordered 2 more bears, a frog and a duck. the package came just in time!! however when i gave him another bear, he managed to rip that one open on the first day :( but the good news is, i removed the squeaker and the stuffing and he still loves it!! the duck did not last much longer, and we are on the frog now. I read on-line that if you encourage the dogs to "be nice" and "easy" with their toys, they will not destroy them. so i tried that, and at least for my dog, it worked!! Frog has been around almost a full week now! I will be ordering more, as they are a little cheaper on Amazon than at the pet stores.

Firstly, the toy that I received, is not small. My Dog is a medium sized dog and is 19kg, and this toy is a perfect size for her. She is very maternal and loves the soft type teddy dog toys, that she can wash and care for. She has never had any puppies and went through Hell in the South Korean Dog Meat Trade.This toy is super soft, furry, cuddly and is perfect for my dog. It arrived with a spare squeaker too.This is an original KONG toy and not a fake.I am very happy, and my beautiful Dog is too, with this toy.

So I've previously brought two of the small duck version of this toy and my dog absolutely loved them. Decided to try the Teddy as it is so cute and my dog (a yorkie/chihuahua mix) treats it like her baby, she can be very energetic with toys but this one she carries around and looks after. It's very adorable. Would recommend for any small dogs or any big dogs who love little toys. The lack of stuffing is actually a great thing!

My Teacup Chihuahua loves these little bears which have a great loud squeak to them. So far I have ordered eight of them and with the exception of one bear which was delivered with a somewhat inadequate squeak they are great quality, and my little pooch plays with them all daily and hasn't worn any of them out yet. They come with a spare squeak per toy but not yet needed and I will definitely buy him more and feel I have now found the perfect toy in the perfect size for my fur baby who can run around with the bear in his mouth something he hasn't been able to do before because the toys were just too big. He does have sharp teeth and thus far hasn't broken any of the squeaks or ripped any of the bears body etc. great quality as always from Kong and a must for small dogs and puppies. When ever I'm short on an order which needs to be at least £20 to qualify for free postage I will be sure to add more bears to my order to get the total to £20.

This is one of the worst items I've ever had the misfortune of ordering online. The quality is shockingly poor, its tiny and badly made and appears as though it would fall apart on the first play. It will be being returned despite having to pay postage as I will not be putting it anywhere near my little pup. Awful product which appears fake its so poor, nothing like other Kong products I've had before.

As can be seen by the picture this bear does not match the one in the listing.Adorable and tiny measuring at just 10cm from head to toe.Perfect for very small dogs who prefer a softer toy but it isn’t plush like the bear pictured and that I ordered, it also doesn’t have a white head and instead has a white nose.Sure my sisters black Pomapoo is going to love it this Christmas but the one sent to me is of lesser value so I feel a little cheated.Check my other reviews to know I leave genuine and honest feedback.
