WD Music WDE12 Switchcraft Jack 1/4-Inch

I've installed this inside a kalimba (thumb piano) with two piezo transducers (contact mics) soldered to it. Only problem you may run into, as in my case, is that the threaded barrel of the jack may be a little short for what you're installing it in. I had to do a little more drilling than I wanted to.

I like gold plated, but unless it's real gold it will not matter and an electrical engineer told me that after you smother the contacts with solder the gold plated is irrelevant anyway. I gave two dollars for a switchcraft jack that I got in the mail today. I gave ten dollars for this one and I didn't hear the difference, or see the difference after my guitar cable was plugged in.

Lov it. Nice tight fit for the cord. Gonna buy a couple more for my other guitars.

Great product. Beautifully plated. Even quieter than my stock jack on my MIM p-bass. i did have to drill my pick guard out a little, but that didn't bother me. However, if it were on the body like some guitars, i might have thought twice.......and still done it lol. This is a nice jack from switchcraft.

Very reliable jack. Not much else to say. Buy it!

It's a good replacement that I used in my 1980 Epiphone Genesis. Low noise. Works fine.

I have not used them yet but they are such crap so I know that they will be incredible quality and work for many years

What can I say? Switchcraft makes the most reliable jacks, period. Add some gold plate and its even prettier! Gold is technically a better conductor of electricity too but you won't notice any difference in sound.
