Tala Jam Strainer Stainless Steel with Nylon Bag

The Tala Jam Strainer Stainless Steel with Nylon Bag turned out to be exactly what I needed to produce my first ever Crab Apple Jelly. The stand was stable, and the nylon mesh back held the 1.5kg of boiled fruit. Only marked down due to 13-day delivery time which was a day beyond the maximum date given. Can't understand why it took so long as product was dispatched the day after ordering.

The product works fine but it is not stainless steel. It has a chrome frame which will obviously not last as long as stainless steel.

I was sceptical that it would be up to the job but actually it does work ok and holds more pulps than you would imagine. Despite it looking a bit unsteady and insubstantial for the job required it turned out that it was man enough after all. Easy to use and easy to clean. The jelly bag stayed on the ring well. Would buy again.

I bought this jam strainer to make rowan and crab apple jelly. When it arrived the nylon bag had a hole in the bottom, where the stitching had failed. I contacted the seller and, after a bit of negotiation, they sent me a replacement which was absolutely fine. I now have half a dozen jars of delicious jelly!

This item was supposed to be stainless steel but I was disappointed to find it was chrome plated.

Smooth transaction, reasonable price, exactly what I needed, easy to use and inexpensive...what's not to be happy about!
