Definitely a good product for artists & promising beginners. The colors are vibrant & way more colorful than lot many. Using a suitable sharpener meant for 'Soft Core' color pencils is a must to avoid wastage & better results.

Good pigmentation, nice blending, smooth and dark texture. Doesn't broke easily while sharpening. But its expensive. Not enough color options for skin tones. Only 2-3 skintone colors are in the box. Beginners should try prisma color scholar pencils pack. That is much budget friendly.

Pros: 1. Blends very well. 2. Colours are very bright and vibrant. 3. Lead is very soft and creamy. 4. Comes with a beautiful selection of colours. Cons: 1. The pigment is not lightfast. 2. Build quality is not good, looks like cheap colour pencils. 3. It might crack in the future and the n bottom of the pencil is not covered, that means you can see the lead from the bottom. Overall, its a nice pencil, great for coloured drawings, people say that it breaks a lot, so to breakage, you need to Sharpen it in a hellical sharpener like The derwent hellical blade sharpener. This is my first set of Prismacolours and I'm pretty impressed with them. They have such a vibrancy to them that are very reminiscent of Laurentien pencil crayons, which were hugely popular back in the '70s and '80s especially, and were considered top of the line back in the day. I really like how easy it is to shade with these pencils and even to blend different colours together. It's very easy to create highlights and lowlights too. I personally haven't had any issues with the leads breaking or chipping, and I haven't experienced any colour fallout from them either. This set is all you need. I realize there are much more extensive sets out there, and they may look great, but it's actually quite redundant. You can achieve everything with this basic set. Whether you're a self-professed artist or you just like colouring, these pencils are for everyone - regardless of age. I definitely recommend them.

Read lots of reviews and watched numerous videos before purchasing these. They lay down smoothly and are easy to blend and layer. Being wax based, they give a buttery smooth texture. Some of them have been difficult to sharpen, but the vast majority are great. They don't hold their point as well as oil based pencils, but that is to be expected. There is some wax bloom when burnishing. Enjoyable to use and beautifully pigmented. These are my go to when aiming for a highly coloured, smooth final result.
