It works well, but will get scratched easily.
This tool makes disassembly easy and reduces the risk of the entire apparatus springing apart in your hands. At least it did for me. Saves wear and tear on your fingers/thumbs as well. Easy to use and fairly durable, however the paint or finish will scratch off pretty much immediately. If that's an issue for you then you may want to pursue a product with a different finish.

Good Tool
I bought this because it works well with a threaded barrel. I bought the Real Avid one first, but that wasn't compatible. This one is.

Does what it was designed to do
Really helpful when taking a 1911 apart that has a solid recoil rod. It's use was as expected, but the only thing was that it slipped on time, and it scarred the tool.

1911 Barrel bushing wrench
Just received this today and tried it on my S&W 1911. Fit is perfect works great, Aluminun as advertised, and doesn't look like it would scratch the finish of the pistol. Got this to replace the the cheap plastic one that came with my 1911 which is already showing wear and has become useless. I would recommend getting this wrench.
