How long do you have to leave the pillow after coming out of vacuum pack?

I just left mine a couple of hours. There was a slight smell but once my pillow protector and pillow slip were on I couldn't smell it. There still is a slight smell but you dont notice it when the covers are on.

I purchased the king size pillow but cannot find a large enough pillow case - any suggestions?
