They Work!
Overpriced in my opinion (it is, after all, a pair of socks) but guess what? They work. I have poor circulation in my feet and Swiftwick socks have definitely helped. I purchased a pair of the Pursuit grey, wool blend ones as well which I like even better. Sometimes, price is not the object. They work.

Best athletic sock I've ever worn cycling
These compression socks do the job well on any bike ride, but I particularly recommend them for long rides, 50-100+ miles. Durable and well made, I like the 4" pairs as they provide the perfect combination of foot and ankle compression that keep any swelling down while my feet stay dry and comfortable. I can't imagine anything better.

I don't like the description on these socks
I don't like the description on these socks. It says Swiftwick Performance Four Socks then (one pair) in parentheses. Makes you think you are ordering four socks, when really you only get one pair. Stop with the "Four Socks" line. It feels underhanded.

Swiftwicks are Great!
I first heard about Swiftwick at the 2010 National Championship adventure race where all participants were given a pair. I was impressed because 1-they were free, and 2- they were merino wool. Maybe these would be the socks I have been searching for. I didn't wear them during the race but was determined to check them out as soon as we got homeFirst thing I noticed was the Made in USA decal. Gotta like that. Check out this quote from their website: We decided to make all our products in the USA. Not some. Not most. All. Yeah!Second was the materials, I already knew about the benefits of Merino wool. Soft feel, less stink, cool in summer, warm in winter, no blisters. It also has extraordinary wicking, you can run or ride in them all day even when wet. But Swiftwick takes it to a new level with 21 micron Merino wool in a 200 needle count, and a 3 inch minimum staple length. The thing that was new to me was the compression. I was skeptical but tried them anyway....And was totally sold. I'm sure you've all read or heard about the benefits of compression on recovery and race performance. But here's something I noticed on top of that. The compression of these socks holds so perfectly snug against your feet, that any relative motion between your foot and sock is non-existent. That means NO blisters. The same compression seals out trail debris, sand, dirt, and vegetation bits. And that means NO blisters. The Pursuit 4 socks that I prefer run up a little higher over the ankle where the Swiftwick double welt compression cuff never slips or slides down. I even think it helps prevent rolled ankles.I've worn these socks for a year and ½ now and they are still in like new shape. Check out my teams full review with pictures at: [...]

the real deal
I am a 2x Olympic Track and Field athlete 2004/2008 and I absolutely love these socks. I first started wearing them because I had an inflamed ligament in my ankle. I got so much support and relief that I haven't worn anything else since. I got rid of all my socks and replaced them with all of the Swiftick line. I wear everything from the zero to the twelve. The twelves are excellent for my long European flights as well as post workout recovery booster. In Training for my event the triple jump my feet and legs take a pounding. These socks have allowed me to train longer and feel better. I definitely give these the stamp of approval.
