A lot of fun!
A game for the whole family! With a large selection of cards to choose from, this game is a lot of fun and educational as well. Although, if you play it a lot, you start running out of cards. But there is now an expansion pack you can buy.

Excellent casual party game
Smarty Party is a fairly simple game of trying to guess items on a list in a variety of categories, like "The most populous countries in the world", "Famous Hitchcock movies", "Last quarter Monopoly spaces", or "Jesus' 12 apostles". You lose points if you make a wrong guess or have to pass, and there are some odd but easy to understand scoring rules in place. The person in last place is always the clue reader, which has interesting implications for the competitive nature of the game. The game really surprised me with how well it works in a fun, casual party atmosphere. If you're looking for cutthroat competition and the highest level of difficulty and quality of questions then Trivial Pursuit or something similar is the way to go. This game is not one that should be thought of as highly competitive since it actually uses a self-balancing rule system that helps the person who is doing the worst not get too far behind (by being the clue reader). For any video gamers out there, think Mario Kart. The only negative is that there are occasionally some quibbles as to accuracy of the items on the list (how do we determine "most popular hobbies"?). Generally they're good, but sometimes there's a debatable, or even wrong, answer. We usually agree to just use the cards as canon, and if something is really wrong we just have a friendly agreement to make things right. As long as everyone can play nicely it works very well, and it's a very small % of cards that have errors, but it's worth mentioning in a trivia-based game.All-in-all, if you're looking for a game that a group with a variety of skill levels can play together, this one is highly recommended. It has a very clever game mechanic and is a very social and fun game. Definitely worth grabbing for family game nights.

Fun and False
Fun but some "facts" are inaccurate.

Great fun!
We love this game for when we have large groups of friends. It is clearly made to be a party game, as there are two tokens for each team- so you can hold on to one and not forget which team you are. It also plays best if you can have at least 4 teams of 2 people. Fewer, and it goes pretty slow and can be frustrating.Keep in mind, that the answers seem to have been collected in a similar fashion to Family Feud. The fact that the cards were created in 2003 and obviously were never fact checked means that you just have to go with what is on the card, whether it is right or not.Overall though, tons of fun!

Great Party Game
When we first opened the box and read the directions, it looked too complicated and we put it away. A few days later, we tried it again. This time, we took our time with it and played one practice round as someone read the directions. We got the hang of it and end up playing it for hours! We usually play games guys against the girls, but this one we played individually, and it was a blast. We had a lot of fun with it. Everyone said it was the best game of the holiday! Note.... the hand-held reading device is a little cheaply made (doesn't compare to the original "Outburst" piece). All in all a great family game.

A Fun Group Game
A fun group game. Bought it for a family gathering and we generally enjoyed it. I thought the questions could have been a little more focused. Overall, it is a good and fun game.

Love it!
This is such a fun game for a group of people--really meant for groups no larger than 10 people though. We had so much fun playing this with family during the Thanksgiving holiday! The games are a nice length, not too short or too long. I highly recommend it to all my friends! Everyone who has played it has loved it! Not really a game meant for children.

What is this game!?
Bought this to play at a party, it was odd and not really a game for adults at all. Not reccommended.
