Monikers Party Game – New Look, Same Absurd Guess-The-Name Game

This game is so fun and easy to learn and explain. At first you’re like “whaaaat that’s impossible.” Just trust the process, you’ll get the hang of it so easily. Everyone I’ve played it with goes on to purchase their own. You split into two teams, so I will say, it’s most fun to play it with 6+ people in my experience because it’s best to give clues to more than one person. 5 people works great if you don’t mind having a double agent play for both teams. Personally, I love guessing so much that I almost prefer when I get to be a double agent. That being said, I’ve still played with 4 people, it’s just not as fun because your one teammate might not be well versed in certain areas and may not be able to guess. I’ve even managed to find a variation where just my husband and I will play. Everyone I’ve played it with goes in to buy their own because it’s so much fun. It’s a great game to bring traveling as it’s quite portable and packs easily in a suitcase. It’s got a great pace, not too long and not too short, and we almost always want to play another round.

Laugh out loud fun with adult family! Object of the game is easy, fun to play, and challenging in just the right way. Have played many times with friends and family…always a well-received game!

I'm an avid gamer and have always been my families & friend group supplier of games during any get togethers, have played a ton over the past few decades. I can confidently say that this game takes the top spot as the best party game there is. For anyone who has friends or family that likes common games such as charades or Taboo, this one's for you, it's the best party game that exists. Pros: Easy to teach, very accessible Very fun for different age groups Also very fun if alcohols involved Quick and easy to get everything out High replayability Cons: Some of the words are dumb and too uncommon IMO, but you can easily remove from the deck though as needed.

LOVE this game! It’s great for parties, family get-togethers etc. I would describe it as a Charades/Catchphrase Combo. Each person picks a certain amount of descriptive cards, they all go in a stack and then players take turns trying to get their team to guess the words written on the card to earn points. 1st round : Player can say any phrases to describe the card WITHOUT saying the actual thing on the card (obviously) 2nd round : Player can only use ONE WORD to get their team to guess the card 3rd Round: Charades- you act the card out. The pile of cards stays the same throughout the rounds so guessing gets easier since you remember cards from previous rounds. All in all this game is easy to learn and you can control the difficulty based on the cards each player chooses to go into the main deck. I’ve played it with people from ages 10-80 and have never laughed so much during a game. Moody teenagers and grandparents alike enjoyed it and seeing my father in law trying to act out the iconic flash dance water scene was worth the game price. Get it for a good time you won’t regret it.

This game was a hit with the adults at game night. Some were nervous about the charades part but because of the structure, the charades is less intimidating. By the time you are doing charades, you've aleady been through the list of words twice so its not that hard to guess. Honestly, we laughed so hard. Very fun.

I have played a pervious version of this game often and decided to get my own set. Honestly a bit disappointed with the descriptions of this new set. I feel like part of the chaos in playing the older version was that the descriptions were a bit long in a good way and forced players to figure out a faster way to explain it and you would learned a bit about the card too. I think the difficulty of guessing the card is much more simpler and easier because of the new descriptions. Some of the descriptions are not interesting and a bit random. Example: synchronized swimming Description: splashing around with your buddies I think the description should be more about when it first participated in the Olympics in 1984 or and activity founded by Annette Kellerman (water ballet) & Katherine Curtis

Fun family game for teens on up. Easy to learn. Can memorize answers, should have more cards or extra packs.

Monikers is the party game hero we didn't know we needed but are eternally grateful for. Imagine your normally reserved mates suddenly turning into mime artists, attempting to act out "Kanye West." I'm talking more flailing than a koala trying to do the backstroke. 😂 Our night started off like any other Aussie gathering, but Monikers swooped in like a kangaroo on a trampoline, transforming our evening from a potential snooze-fest into an absolute riot. Watching someone try to mime "David Hasselhoff" without saying "Baywatch" was pure comedy gold. I laughed so hard, I nearly snorted my drink. Seriously, I think I pulled a muscle from all the laughing. Seeing my mate Rob—who's usually as chill as an echidna in a sunbeam—air-guitaring to convey "Taylor Swift" was a sight I’ll never forget. His passionate strumming was so intense, it was like watching a wombat play the didgeridoo. 🤣 The laughter was unstoppable, and even the pizza delivery bloke joined in for a round. We played for hours, so much so that I thought we might need a paramedic on standby from all the gut-busting laughs. If only Monikers could handle the aftermath of the mess, it'd be the ultimate party MVP. 🤷‍♂️
