Storelli ExoShield Head Guard, Military-Grade Head Protection, Foam Padding Headband, Official Headgear of US Club Soccer

My 12 yr old daughter is a figure skater and has hit her head several times hard on the ice, once having to go to the ER because she briefly lost consciousness. As a mother, and as a healthcare provide myself, this stressed me out. I researched head protection products for figure skaters for hours before finally selecting this product. She has used it for a month now and she likes the way it feels and looks. It is perfectly snug and really looks like a workout headband. I have only seen her hit her head once while wearing it but of course this particularly fall wasn't as hard as the previous ones because her body hit the ice before her head did but the headband did offer protection and she jumped right back up. It offers protection more for the temple and nape of the head and doesn't really seem to offer protection of the crown of her head.

Really saved my clumsy daughter from concussions. Added bonus is that it’s good for catching sweat too. Also aesthetically spent look very different from a headband.

My head measured 22 3/4 diameter, so I ordered size 6. I was afraid it would be too large, but when I opened the package and put it on, the head guard was actually tight. I was disappointed. Size 6 was the largest size you can buy. Then I realized it had been sitting outside in the cold weather having been delivered while I wasn't at home. So I gave it a chance to warm up a bit, and tried it again. Still too tight, but not quite as tight as it was though, so I left it on, and as it warmed up and my head got used to it, it began to feel better. Now after having it for a week, when I put it on, it seems to be no problem fitting. Yes, it's still snug, but not uncomfortably tight as it first was. other than that, it is designed to protect, and I feel like I bought the right product for that. It is nice and light, however, it covers the right areas without looking bulky. It looks sporty. I really don't mind what it looks like anyway, I'm 75, I fall several times per year due to foot drop, plus I had a stroke 3 years ago. I am very happy to get this head protector. I told my wife I will only wear it when I attempt to do stupid stuff when I could possibly need to protect my head. She said I might as well wear it all the time then :) It is a very well designed and well made product, I highly recommend it.

I am an adult using this while ice skating. My head measures 21 1/2, and I bought a size 4. It fits, but it feels a bit tight. I am not sure if a 5 might slip off, though. I am not sure if it will stretch. I am not sure it the tightness will make it uncomfortable. I wish I had ordered both a 4 and a 5. The item seems well made and is fairly cushy, and about 1/2 inch thick. It says it is machine washable. I am an adult woman. Maybe if it is worn adjusted down a bit in the back, which is like the image in the description, it will be OK. I hope this helps someone. ***UPDATE!!!*** I used it twice and it is great. It feels like it is made from a firm memory foam and it is comfortable for me. The first day I thought it would be too tight, but it's not. You don't want this to be loose or it might not protect when needed. Good product. I have not fallen and hope not to, but I feel this product will cushion my head fairly well if necessary.

BUY THIS! Bought this for an elderly person with balance issues. That person loved the fact that it looked like athletic gear instead of a crash helmet, and it provided much of the same protection, as far as falls go. This headband literally extended that person’s life for a couple of years due to it protecting the head during falls. The material is thick and somewhat rubbery in a good way. Would recommend to any person at risk of falling.

I got the Classic, with more padding, instead of the Slim. I needed some head protection for use on a Lime (or other rental electric scooters, where I'm out and about, but not carrying a full bike helmet. Is it a good scooter helmet? No. Is it way better than nothing? Absolutely. My head measures 22.25", technically a size 5, but from reading reviews I chose a smaller size 4. Glad I did -- at first it was too tight, but after 30 mins or so it's loosens up *just* enough.

Looks cool and hopefully protects my kids. Told the coaches if they wanted my kid to play he had to wear it. Had issues with a few coaches making fun of the headband saying it would affect heading, didn't really work, etc....one of the coaches boasted that in his 40 years playing he only cracked his skull once...that is once too many for me. Looked into protective head gear when we played a team that made it mandatory for all players. Storelli does a great job at having a stylish piece that is protective. Others look like something a wrestler would use (orthodontic head gear-esque) and others look too small to be an effective deterrent. Aside from protection it is practical. I love that I can throw it into the washer and dryer, it comes out smelling clean and like new. I have three boys ages 13-16, they have been wearing the Storelli ExoShield for the last 3 years. No problems heading, etc. Biggest problem has been dealing with coaches and the stigma from that...boys want to impress the coaches, as teens they don't care so much about the parents, so? I reminded the coaches that this item may protect my child, if he isn't wearing it because of a coach's comment and gets injured I will be coming after said coach...Yes, it is that bad. Meanwhile: Other parents always ask me where to buy, etc. Be the trend setter. In my opinion, they look cool and intimidating, all while protecting you. Would be nice for the coaches to get on board and maybe even have a player endorsement or two. I think that it will be as synonymous with soccer as shin guards and cleats...it should be.

This has a padding over the full 360 degrees circumference. Fit is very tight when she first put it on (uncomfortable), but loosens with wear to be almost too big. It doesn't stay in place, and constantly needed readjustment during game. This was definitely a distraction for my daughter.
