Just one ProxKey III fob
This will be one of my shorter reviews, as there is not a lot to say about a proximity key fob.Obviously, you get precisely one of these, so if you are in need of just one, this is good. Many other situations put you in possession of ten or fifty or one hundred. Some of the information given is somewhat misleading. Yes, you can use a ProxProgrammer to program it, but very few will have that, and those that do are more likely to purchase these fobs in quantities of 1000 or more. So in this case you will receive a key fob pre-programmed with a number almost invariably between 00000 and 65535, most likely in the 5000-15000 range (but not necessarily). The fob works with any HIDProx readers. This is a specific format, so don't just take frequency as anything. If the reader handles HIDProx, great. If not? Not great.Range-wise, the fob has less antenna than a card, so the range is about half that of a card or less. However the fob has a very sturdy ring opening that makes it very suitable for key rings and such. In cases where people are prone to lose cards, this can be an excellent alternative if the coded data does not need to also have something like an ID picture attached. This is NOT considered a secure token. The reader will report just a number that can easily be special-ordered on another fob. But somebody would have to read your fob to get that, then go through the effort to duplicate it. Generally that means having your fob, in which case it doesn't matter, they don't need to duplicate it.Otherwise, I expect that for the most part, people will know they need something like this and come here because of the singular quantity, so hopefully the information above will provide some help. I give this five stars, but I will state it is a BASELINE five stars. A normal product for a very specific purpose and use and without any faults worthy of reducing the rating. Please let Amazon and me know if this review is helpful to you and as always, I will answer any questions and comments that I can.

Small and Great Quality
We purchased the HID 1326 key fobs for our office access control system, and they have been fantastic. These key fobs are small, lightweight, and incredibly easy to carry on a keyring, which our staff really appreciates. Despite their compact size, they work flawlessly with our existing HID proximity readers. The fobs have been very reliable so far—no issues with scanning or recognition. They are also durable, withstanding daily wear and tear without any signs of damage. The range is excellent, and we haven’t encountered any problems with proximity detection.Overall, the HID 1326 key fobs are a great choice for any access control system that uses proximity readers. They offer convenience, durability, and consistent performance. Highly recommended!

Perfect for Any Security System – So Easy to Use
This key fob is an absolute breeze to set up and use. It comes preconfigured with a security code, which made the integration with my security system seamless. I didn’t have to mess around with programming or worry about compatibility—this fob worked perfectly right out of the box. It’s small enough to fit on a keyring, and I was impressed by how well it works with most proximity card reader. Whether you’re looking to replace a lost fob or add a new one, this is a solid, hassle-free choice. Highly recommended!

Works great!
I live in a condo building and our exterior doors and parking garage are accessed by these HID fobs. Our property management co wanted $35 each for pre-programmed fobs so I thought I would order a couple of these & save a few bucks.A word of caution here: these fobs are absolutely authentic, BUT, they will need to be "activated" for the specific entry/access system that you want to use them with; They won't work on their own, (right out of the box).To get the new fobs to be compatible with your doors, you have 2 options:1) Take these new fobs to your property manager and see if they will activate them into their system, OR,2) Spend about $30 and buy an HID fob duplicator. The duplicator can read an existing fob that is already authorized in your system and copies (writes) the correct activation info onto the new fob. With this method, the door system thinks the new fob is the old fob, since they will have the same activation code, but that should not be a problem.

Easy to use Key Fob
I bought this to try out with our buildings new keycard readers, and it worked great. It has the number attached on the backside that you need to enter into your systems card manager. The only negative comment is it is very light plastic that makes a lot of racket when on a keychain. I had to buy a rubber casing to go around it so it wouldn't rattle when walking.

Easy integration for PassPoint Plus software
It's been years since we had to order fobs for our electronic door system, and they were always provided through our alarm reseller. This time we bought a pack ourselves, and it was simple to import them for use in our system. The fobs themselves are attractive and appear durable. Here are the steps to Batch Add these cards in Ademco Passpoint Plus (tested in v2.10):1. Log in as the Installer or Master user2. From the Config menu, choose Card -> Add New Card3. Select Yes to Use Card Wizard4. Select "Batch Add"5. Click the button to change the card calculator settings and choose Card Format: "26 Bit Prox NCC", and enter the Facility Code from the packaging (ours was 118)6. Click OK and enter the first Card Number (the first five digits embossed on the back of the fob)7. Click Next and enter the last Card Number (the first five digits embossed on the back of the fob)8. Select the appropriate access groups and whether the cards should be Active or Disabled9. For the final Step 7, confirm the # for the first and last card and the total number of cards to add is correct. Then click Finish.
