Great alternative to the "Israeli" bandage
I have no relationship with TACMED, other than as a user. What exactly is the OLAES? As the name says, it is a modular bandage that can be used in a variety of situations. The bandage has a number of components which can be used. 1. Bandage: The elastic bandage has control strips to prevent the bandage from unwinding onto the ground. There are no clips needed, the elastic stays flat. 2. Tucked under the trauma pad are a pressure cup, sterile gauze, and a plastic sheet. 3. Three meters of gauze for wound packing or stabilizing protruding objects. 4. Occlusive plastic sheet for sucking wounds. The package can also be opened and used as a second occlusive dressing. 5. Pressure cup: This can be used to apply focused pressure to a wound, freeing the provider to deal with other things. The cup can also be used independently as a rigid protective cover for eye injuries or penetrative objects. Is it the be all end all of trauma treatment? No, but it comes darn close.

Perfect
In my professional opinion, this is by far the best overall pressure dressing on the market, even better than the Israeli bandage.

Better than Israeli? Depends on what you want.
Seems like everyone recommends the Israeli compression bandage, but I chose this one because of the added features. The plastic piece that can increase pressure over the injury point that can also be used as an eye cup. The removable z folded gauze that can be used to pack the wound. And the plastic sheet for chest seal. A few less items I have to pack in my kit.

Bandage
Great bandage...probably saved my life! 1 1/2"gash to my shin, bleeding profusely 30 minutes from town in the woods. We bandaged my leg and the bleeding completely stopped for over an hour, until ER removed the bandage and discovered arterial bleeding! I ordered 8 more bandages!

PROVEN Trauma bandage.
Works well to stop bleeding, slim packaging and versatile! No other product has what the BLAST offers; elastic band with stops, gauze pad with pressure/eye cup, removable packing gauze and an occulsive sheet.

Defiantly have a few on hand
This product is very versatile, can be used as a face dressing or as a combat dressing with the eye cup used to help apply pressure to the wounded area. I have several and they work flawlessly.

Guter Verband. Leider hat sich das Vakuum nach kurzer Zeit gelöst und der Verband wird somit unsteril. Schade.

Habe es zum Glück noch nicht gebraucht, aber israelisches Verbandsmaterial ist traditionell sehr gut. Gehört in meinen Augen in jede Verbandstasche.
