Bullz Audio (BBS8R) Gold/Red 8-Gauge Barrier Spade Terminal - 10 Piece

After i couldn't find any in stores, i ordered these 8 gauge spade terminals. They work, and it was helpful to have 10 because i ended up ruining 3 before i found out how to crimp them with just pliers and solder.

Never could understand how car amp manufacturers expect 40-60 amps of power wire to connect to a # 8 or #10 screw terminal. Good thing someone makes a terminal like this. The barrel on this is somewhat larger than 8 ga wire. (I'm using true 8 awg wire). However if you have a a good crimper, it will work. The barrel wrap-around can also be separated slightly and overlap each other creating a close enough contact with the wire. It can then be soldered. You'll need a pretty good gun to to get enough heat for the solder to flow correctly. Main complaint is that many of mine were tarnished especially under the insulating sleeve. Not bad enough to affect the connection, but detracts from it's appearance.

They are silver in color, so definitely not gold or gold plated. Opening is too small for post on amp...

They do what they say. The plated metal solders easily.
