Walker 53458 Exhaust Pipe 2.625" Inlet (ID) 2.5" Outlet (OD) for Ford Expedition

On my jeep, I had to replace an old Borland Header/exhaust system, forward if the catalytic converter. All I needed to add, beyond the new header and this pipe was a 2.5 inch coupling, two clamps and oNE hanger. Everything fit like butter!!I did coat the pipe with rust resistant paint.

Perfect fit for my 98 TJ 4.0.

The image shows a mandrel bent first bend on this down pipe. The part I received was not mandrel bent, but rather was crush bent. In a low hp application like the Jeep 4.0, this likely isn't a significant difference. However, I was planning to modify this pipe to fit my CJ, which requires cutting that first bend in half and re-positioning the lower part. The pleated bend makes that idea much more difficult to pull off.The overall construction of the part is pretty good. The welds look decent, the flange is positioned correctly. I would have no problem bolting this on to my TJ, if I owned one.

Used it in a YJ that has the motor and transmission lift it over 3 inches for under clearance. This pipe let everything be above the bottom of the frame rails I cut and welded it to suit my needs. Always had good luck with Walker products

The item is well made but several inches too short to use. I will keep it, but on in the event I have to replace the rest of the exhaust system.

Fit perfect on my 97 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L 5sp.
