Quality phones
Owned a wired set of bone conduction phones for a few years now, Aftershox bought by my daughter for my bike rides and all round use, I've been able to wear them at work and they've been ideal for health and safety reasons. So I looked into the Tayogo S2 Bluetooth set, I have not been disappointed with them for sound quality and ease of use (a week in) the buttons may be a bit small for gloved hands but that's a minor gripe compared to the plus points, connected quickly to all my Bluetooth gadgets, mp3, phone and tablet, literally in seconds. The battery life is good easily reaching the six hour claim. They are very light and comfortable and the outer noise is less than my Shox, my wife can barely hear them when on a decent amount of volume, I've seen reviews stating they're not bone conductors, I can state they definitely are and are well worth the money, it's early days yet but I'm very happy with these.....🙂

Great Value Bone-Conducting Headphones. Great for walking, whilst doing housework and cycling.
The product is very good. I have tried other similar bone-conducting headphones and this seems to be on a par with the others I have tried, if not slightly better in sound-quality. When I first started using them, I found the sound a bit tinny. However, after a few hours of use, I decided to adjust the positioning and that made all the difference. The sound quality after that was very good across the board. I tried with YouTube videos, Google Play Music, video games, TV shows and it seemed to be good across them. Therefore, experiment with different positions until you find the sweet spot. Battery life is OK. I got about 3 and a bit hours out of opening it from the box. I suspect it would be around or just over the 4 hours mark on a full battery, maybe more. The bluetooth range seems to be OK. I can go around 5 metres from it as long as there's a clear line from the phone to the headphones. I found it struggled and cut out occasionally when I had the phone in my bag, whilst wearing the headphones. This seems to be the same limitation I have with other bluetooth headphones anyway and tend to put my phone at the top of the bag wherever possible to counteract this. Build quality seems good. It doesn't feel particularly cheap, but certainly doesn't have the refinement of more expensive models. However, would you really want or need that? Headband strap is comfortable to wear. You can't seem to adjust it so feels a little weird at first but you get used to it very quickly. A few considerations: - Turning the volume up too much will feel odd. You can hear fine on a lower volume, and I guess the overall point of using them is so you can use them whilst still hearing your surroundings. - They are not going to compare in sound-quality to noise-cancelling headphones. They are not like for like technologies. - As you can hear your surroundings and there is uncomfortableness at louder volumes, you may find that in loud areas, such as a busy road or at a gym, that you cannot get what you're listening to to loud enough levels. However, again, wanting something to cancel out the surrounding noise is not what this is designed for. - I am not convinced it's amazing for cycling. It's OK, but don't expect this to be the perfect solution for cycling. I think the wind-noise in addition to the issues above make it difficult to get the volume levels right. - They do leak sound, therefore you may find they distract other people in the gym. I would be a bit wary wearing them there. Personally, I think the most ideal use is for when you're walking around or cycling somewhere quiet and and you still want to be aware of your surroundings. I particularly found them useful for doing housework/gardening as this is an ideal balance to have something to keep you entertained, whilst not having to carry a speaker around and allowing you to work wirelessly.

lightweight and very comfortable headphones
I usually search, investigate and compare before making a purchase of a really necessary item. These work well for use in an area where ambient noise is not too loud such as machine noise. For noise in an office workplace they are perfect. I tried them to go cycling, but even with the volume at maximum the noise of the traffic and the street makes the sound of the headphones null, the sound of the wind in the headphones is felt a lot. Practically discarded for cycling unless you are going through an area without traffic. But for work, which is precisely what I need them for, they are perfect, the sound quality is good, it does not allow you to turn the volume to the maximum because the sound is distorted, making a kind of ssss. But sound is clear and nice at about 80% of its capacity. I am satisfied with the headphones, the controls are very easy and the use is very intuitive, the buttons are well located, the location of the buttons is quickly learned. Very light and comfortable to wear for hours, notice that you are wearing them, the construction materials are very good, as well as their design. I definitely recommend them.

Not great for cycling, very quiet, the wind drowns them out
I bought these for cycling, specifically to use with my routing app. Even with the volume maxed out I was struggling to hear the voice directions my app was giving me, whenever the wind was blowing towards me. However, after I installed a volume boost app on my phone, and cranked it to max, I could hear the voice commands even with a strong wind in my face. They're adequate for this function, ok for £30, but I wouldn't use them to listen to music, with the volume booster app everything is louder but the music sounds terrible. It's like riding around with a really bad bluetooth speaker that everyone around you can hear. So, in conclusion, okay to use with a volume booster and cycling app for voice directions, but terrible for music whilst riding.

Sound was acceptable, until I discovered the autocombustion feature
Sound was average at best. I used it for running and listening to podcasts - sound was acceptable. It served a purpose for almost 2 years, until this evening I put it on charge and smelt a strong smell of burning plastic. I found a thin wisp of black smoke exiting the charging socket. I unplugged and it stopped. I would normally charge this overnight. I will not be using this product again. For one, the charging cable has now melted into the unit and wearing the earphones would now be cumbersome. On a more serious note, my house could have burned down with me asleep upstairs in bed. Amazon should recall this item as they are, in my humble opinion, unsafe for use and sale.
