I will probably not use all of these colors in the rest of my lifetime. But if you do machine embroidery, you might very well use them all. For the typical sewing machine user, multiple bobbins with black and white might be a better choice.

I don’t write reviews often but I was wowed when I opened the box. Forgot about the matching bobbins. I have been a customer of Simthread since I started embroidering almost a year ago. I love the colors, the sheen of the thread. On rare occasion I have had a problem of not finding the end of the thread to start the spool. That is a rare occurrence. I have not had any problems with my Brother machines using the thread. I bought this box as I want to try free standing lace and you need matching colors. I will update my review once I have tried the new way of embroidery for me! Also should mention it came with a piece of stabilizer, 12 thread nets and 3 empty bobbins.

great for having an assortment of colors for English paper piecing project. Nice quality and I didn't have to buy full spools of each color.

I purchased this to do some clothing applique and mending projects. It was packaged nicely and there is a good variety of colors. The bobbins stay in the donut securely so I can even toss it in my sewing box for on the go projects. It did come with 1 extra bobbin (white) that doesn't fit in the donut.
